As soon as I press start at the main screen it comes up saying checking downloadable content data…, left it on while I went to sleep and work and came back 20 hours later and its still doing the same thing… anybody know how to fix this?
Try turning it off?
yeah heaps of times, tried clearing the cache, deleting all the downloadable content then re-downloading it, installing the game to the hard drive, ive been having this problem for about a week and havent been able to play once.
The same exact thing has been happening to me all weekend.
Singed out and went back to tittle screen, signed back in issue persists.
Turned off xbox, restart, still persists.
Clear memory cache, still persists.
Are there any other explanations or clear solutions for alleviate this issue?
Obviously I am not the only one.

All you can do is wait. It’s an issue with Xbox Live that they are working to resolve.

Mmmm… It’s problems like this that are making me debate whether or not I will be picking up an Xbox One. Also I’m glad that it’s not just me getting stuck at the DLC check screen.

OT: Yeah, I have been having the same problems.
I too am stuck. MS will have an update within 30 mins
So it seems that quite a few people are experiencing this issue. I popped Halo 4 into my Xbox about an hour ago and have been trying to troubleshoot it to no avail. And just as I’m typing this, it finally cleared away after about 5 minutes or so to the main menu finally haha. Dunno if this is some sort of bug in the system or a common occurrence with people.
My recommendation is to just wait it out. Troubleshooting the issue seemed to do nothing.
Hmmm,it seems that a fix still hasn’t been found. Just turned on my Xbox again and it is doing the same thing. Is anybody else still having this issue? Any new details?
Im having the same problem now. I ruled out disk damage and hard drive problems so its either Xbox still hasnt fixed this problem since the last post or 343 are having problems with their servers. it does works rarely but not much so if anyone has been able to sort this then plz reply. Need this to be sorted to continue my machinima project.
