Instead of getting random REQs why can’t each item have a “REQ” price on them allowing you to choose what you want to buy? Thus if there is a helmet or weapon you want you can save your REQ points and purchase when you have enough. This way you are able to chose what you want as a player.
That’s a neat idea. Would you unlock the armor by completing commendations and ranking up like in Halo 4?
So you want the Reach system? This isn’t an original idea.
I feel like you would have to be a certain level as well as saving your REQ points. For instance if you were a level 1-20 you could buy uncommon items and then when you’re level 120-150 you are able to buy legendary items.

I’m not saying this is an original idea. I’m just saying they should implement this type of system. You’re the one that decided to compare it to the Reach system.
This idea would also mean that you would either earn RP much slower, or everything would be insanely expensive.
It was fine up until you mentioned rank lock. Sorry but I dont want to wait till level 120 to get my MK 4. Would probably be even higher thanks to mythic status.

Fair play.
Just because I made the comparison doesn’t mean its not true. No need to be defensive!

Ya true. Maybe you are able to purchase whatever you want when you want to. Uncommon would be cheap and Legendary would be expensive and it’s up to you to chose and save :).

Alright man. But either way, implementing this idea would cause you to either earn RP at a much slower rate, or everything would be SUPER expensive.
It would probably end up taking you just as long to unlock everything as it does now. I know that’s not your reasoning, but I’m just pointing that out.

Ya true. I just like the idea of choosing what you would like because there are about 90% of armor and weapons that I will never use.

I get it. I think that’s the point though. Instead of grinding for 1,000,000 points to buy what you want, you have to grind through crap you don’t want to get what you do want. Not to be rude, but it always seems like people who want this system just want to get what they want easier. That’s fine and all, but it just seems like they’re asking for an easy button.

I just don’t like the whole random aspect behind it.
They wouldn’t make lots of money with this system. That’s why we will never see a fair system that lets you work for things you like.

That’s fair. I like it because it makes getting what you want harder, or when you actually get what you want its that much better.
I’m also an adult and appreciate working for something and not always being able to choose the things you get.

This is where I’m going to start disagreeing with people.
How is it not fair? I can’t even begin to explain why the use of that word is wrong.

I’m 29 and also an adult and I like saving for the things I like/want in life. I enjoy working for something and acquiring it after hard work. You’re implying that earning random rewards is apparently more mature. But here is an example of what you’re supporting: In real world settings lets say I want to buy a car, so I save enough money to finally purchase one. So, I go to the dealership and give them money and a few seconds later a random car comes out and its a 1994 Ford Focus…awesome. I would have much rather received a nicer/newer car but I didn’t.

It’s not fair because you can put in the same amount as REQs as one person, but receive al low level items while they keep getting Legendary items. That essentially “not fair”. Just like my car example. Two people go into a car dealership with the same amount of money. One gets a 1994 Ford Focus and the other gets a 2016 Ford GT…that’s not fair.

I didn’t mean to imply that you’re younger than me or less mature, I was just stating my thought process.
That is an example, but that’s real life not a game. All I’m saying is that I can appreciate that you can’t always choose things in your life because sometimes life doesn’t work in your favor.
I was also stating that working for something and not always getting dealt the hand you want as separate things.
I’m currently saving money to buy a new car, probably a truck if I find the right one and nothing crazy happens in the next few months.
I also just got told that I have to move cross country for my job, or get laid off. I don’t want to move and I don’t want to have to find a new job, but I see this as an opportunity to find a new job that I will probably like more than my current one and I can appreciate that I’m getting dealt a hand that I really don’t want.
That’s where I’m coming from.
