Cheating safeguards

Any word on what plans 343 has to prevent cheating on xbox live and on pc?
Don’t want to start any hostility, just curious.

This is the most I’ve seen from 343 about anti cheat so far.

> We want to ensure fairness and adding PC into the mix opens Pandora’s box. We felt like we had to make an anti-cheat solution that doesn’t get in the way, doesn’t root your machine, doesn’t block your legitimate applications – we want the most unobtrusive thing possible that ensures a safe way for everyone to play together.

So that would mean only a report players U.i. (user interface) like previous Halo games?
Interesting.
343 is saying a lot we’d like to hear, but they’ve said nothing specific.

Yeah i’m worried about it aswell. But hopefully they will get er figured out

It’s understandable why they wouldn’t want to talk much about their anti-cheat methods. They don’t want to accidently say something that might tip off the cheat-makers on how to bypass their system. They will eventually bypass the anti-cheat (they always do), but 343 will have bought themselves time to get some improvements in reserve.

Yes, but in their quote they’re eliminating some.
Unobtrusive, not root, etc.
And this is just talking about pc
What about consoles?

I tried to report to them a cheat device that works on both pc and Xbox and gives aimbot and other advantages. The support page has no place to report cheat devices, so I made a thread asking where to report it. The mods quickly locked my thread without giving me a answer.
Seems to me the mods want cheating in halo

I don’t think the mods don’t care, but they have to respond in a certain way to keep the boards under control and encourage beneficial discussions.
Part of the problem is acknowledgement there is an existing problem.
Another part is they’re handcuffed on replies till there is a reporting u.i.
I was clueless for years about some of the cheating methods on console.
Prob the most disturbing thing I’ve seen is detailed tutorials on how to appear you’re not cheating, and streamers obviously cheating and pretending they’re not.
