Just played a game of Infection where blatant cheating was occuring.
Three players (two of which had identical armor, colours and service tag) were obviously going into the FFA as a party but cheating.
I was an infected and arrived at a scene where one of the three players was infected but not trying to kill the two survivors. They were not shooting him either. I soon realised what was happening and ignored them but the infected player was trying to push me out into the open near them so they could shoot me.
I ended up reporting all 3 for unsporting conduct but wanted to post this to see if anyone else has encountered something similar in Infection or not.
I must have played 30-40 games by now (Edit: I checked and it’s actually over 200 games lol) and this is the first time I’ve encountered such cheating.
Edit: Um… I didn’t expect to get so many people defending such behaviour in the first few posts - I’m pretty shocked.
If you think it’s OK to goof around in matchmade games where you’re affecting the games of random people I think you’re wrong. Stick to customs if you want to do that.
Well, I victory crouched at a couple survivors and they didn’t kill me, I then proceeded to continue, then I killed one and was then killed by the others lol
I mean I don’t see what’s cheating about not killing? They literally aren’t getting more points so big deal?
How do you cheat in a game of infection? Just sounds like a bunch of wacky kids doing something to mess with others.
Nothing was gained or lost, just your time. So no real cheating.
Its infection… I’m all for tryharding in most arena modes but do you really care about this?

exactly, so you reported ppl for “cheating” when what they did gave them no advantage at all. to win you have to score the most points. to do that you have to kill each other. you already said they werent killing. and if you reported cause some zombie tried to push you in the open, why did you continue to stay there? why not go off and find another victim?

Wow, didn’t expect to see people defending such behaviour. I can only imagine you probably goof around with your friends in matchmade games like this yourself. **Stick to customs if you want to do that.**I got pushed out twice in the space of 5 seconds and then moved away to another part of the map as soon as I realised what he was doing so no, I didn’t stay there getting pushed out.
The presence of his service tag on the screen tends to suggest it’s a safe area for zombies so you go running around the corner only to find two of his survivor friends crouching next to him ready to shotgun you in the face.
I reported them for unsporting conduct, not cheating.
I wonder who else thinks it’s OK to do things like this in matchmade games rather than customs. I’m pretty shocked at the responses here if I’m honest.

I go into infection with a party/fireteam all the time, but we try to kill each other because it’s fun/funny. However, you did all you could in reporting them. At least out of the 30-40 games you have played, it has only happened once. It’s an anomaly, not the standard.
Anyways, here is to another 30-40 games without experiencing weirdness! Cheers OP!

Why don’t YOU go to customs if you want games to be played a certain way. You have NO right to interfere with peoples fun or decisions in a game if it is not game breaking, insulting, or unfair. I play games to have fun and do what I want, payed the 60 dollars and if I want to sit in a corner as an infected with two survivors I will, if I want to solely kill during CTF or strongholds I will, if I want to drive around in a warthog during warzone and nothing else I will. Its not cheating, its a difference in how people prefer to play the game.

He started a spartan charging and ground pounding fight, and while we were camping together, he spartan charged me off the map but I didn’t catch his gamer tag so I didn’t report him. I can’t even put into words how mad i was. And I am not allowed to on the forums.

Just don’t be surprised when you find you have bad rep and struggle to find games due to all the reports filed against you.
As for me, I’ll continue trying to play the games the way they’re supposed to and not negatively impact on others.

Its not unfair because they don’t gain any advantage from doing this so yeah. Games are designed to be played the way YOU want to play them as long as they are within the rules. Why is what they did so bad? You could easily just avoid the area the camp at no problem to you, or better yet stop playing badly and take them out, otherwise stop complaining just because you don’t have friends that will play like that for you. This negatively impacts nobody, and you know it. as I see it you just want to complain and be entitled to what you think is perfect play.
i came here expecting OP to be talking about ppl trying to farm certain commendations with a fire team, and find out now just literally hanging out in a corner with your friends is “unfair” play. like what? lol i still dont see how a zombie not killing survivors is unfair and unsporting. if you could maybe give an actual explanation on what makes that so unsporting sure, you might have a leg to stand on. SC survivors is more unsporting then literally doing nothing that doesnt affect your game at all since all they did was give you a chance to get more kills then them, in fact they helped you have a better chance at winning and your mad, like what?!?!

Not saying all reports are unwarranted but if anyone wonders why they have so many it’s cause players like OP are mad someone we literally hanging out with their friends.
OP should prob at least edit the title name. I still don’t see how this is cheating.
You’re not fooling me. A zombie working with humans? They’re mindless abominations. That’s like saying the Arbiter will continue his campaign.
Well it is stupid behaviour no doubt, but not cheating. You shouldn’t let things get under your skin so easily.
