Halo 6 desperately needs cross platform play, full cross platform play since it will be fully released on Windows. Microsoft needs to have mouse/keyboard support for the Xbox One/Xbox One X so console players can play with PC players. The major problem right now is how console players can get away with cheating using the Xim, Microsoft has done nothing to address this issue.

Eh I could care less I’ve never seen how it gives a “big advantage” but that’s just my point of view. I wouldn’t consider it cheating either
LOL at some one thinking by allowing PC players to play with console players will some how help prevent cheating… Seeing how much easier it is to cheat from a PC than a console when they allow this cross play cheating will only get way worse.

First, don’t assume that halo 6 will be released on pc yet even if 343 already knows the demand for it. Second, I don’t think you should be judging a device that I assume you haven’t even tried yourself. I personally own one since I grew up playing pc games back in the old days. I play single player games and some feel okay and some don’t. I will guarantee that not all games will benefit from it, specially on halo 5 because I tried it and its absolutely worst than I thought. Back when Halo 5 was released I saw several people complaining on reddit claiming people were cheating with a xim so I gave it a try and oh hell it felt so bad. Halo 5 is fast paced and navigating through menus or movement in general is way better on a controller because its not a game made for pc. Now also since you want to support cross play, its like playing pubg on xbox with pc players and that will be not okay since microsoft doesn’t look like they will add support for m/k in the future. Its a console made to play with a controller and like I said, I used xim on a couple of single player games that are not available on pc.
I think this would be a bigger problem in a game like Gears where the aim assist is much lower than in Halo. I totally see where you’re coming from though and I can see how a PC player has an advantage when turning around really fast. But, I don’t think it’s all that bad because you’re given a bit of help when using a controller to compensate for fast movement in the game. However, if there’s a clear improvement to players’ scrores based on statistical analysis when using that device, then I think you’ve got a point.
Also I am not entirely sold on using after market hardware like that is indeed cheating. Prove it can do something normal controllers can’t then maybe. I have seen some accuse players who simply use an elite controller as cheating. I have played H5 with regular controller and an elite and noticed no difference besides comfort in where the buttons are with button mapping. I can’t really say some one using a mouse and keyboard is cheating unless it’s modded to allow the player to shoot faster or something like that. I can’t really say if the mouse and keyboard make a player more accurate because they are still on a Xbox one.

This^^^ if a keyboard and mouse is considered cheating then an elite would technically count too
Microsoft’s official stance on XIM seems to be that it’s not cheating. This applies to Halo also since the only set of rules it is bound by is Microsoft’s Code of Conduct. Therefore it appears that using XIM in Halo is not cheating. (And by “cheating” here I mean “breaking an established set of rules”. If you wish to take a more subjective stance on cheating, you should do it with the understanding that no one else is obliged to care about your opinion.) Therefore accusing XIM users of cheating in Halo is nothing more than unnecessary slander.

There open to the idea.
Sure but you gamers were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn’t stop to think if they should.
As for cheating I’m pretty sure I’ve seen some form of cheating but the problem is it’s hard to tell if someone is cheating or if the game is broken since I’ve literally shot some point blank with BR at the head, players have walked off like barely anything had happened, don’t even get me started on the inconsistent grenades that I come to know, mark as a dud.

If you’re referring to hacking, then to my knowledge no one has been able to crack the Xbox One yet in such a way that hacking games would be possible. So, if you see something odd happening online, it’s almost certainly not a hack.

Sure but like I said it’s hard to tell. It’s nowhere near on the scale of old Halo days of people flying warthogs but there have been suspicious gamers that have done things in the past where it seemed impossible to have survived against me. Either way all I can do is report them, even record them via xbox report image/video since it helps me capture unusual activity. Plus like the old saying…nothing lasts forever.

Right now, 100%, there is no way to mod the Xbox One OS or any games that run on the OS on Xbox Live. As tassi said, anything you’re seeing isn’t modding

Ok but like I said the only other alternative is the game is pretty unstable.

A quick Google search should show that, indeed, no one has yet been able to crack the Xbox One security. If someone had, it’d be all over the internet. Of course, that doesn’t mean it will never be cracked, but that up to this point, you have never ran into a hacker in Halo 5.

I did, there are some things but nothing major. Like I said suspicious…neither confirmed it was or not. Either way there’s no telling when it will happen.
Like I said previously it was either that or the game is unstable, well a lot of people do seem to complain about how broken H5 can be somedays.
Anyway hacks or not…people do cheat on this game, I’ve seen enough of it in-game myself, heard about it in tournaments that have been banned for exploiting glitches.

While I do agree people have cheated on this game, it already has been patched like the warzone exploit core. I wouldn’t consider it like cheating, its more like taking advantage of glitches / map imperfections. As you mentioned, shooting someone with a br and walking away like nothing sounds more like lag. I’ve seen some really “suspicious” activity but at the end i made a conclusion of lag since it looks like it.
There have been post where people would share a clip where people actually cheat with a modded controller (my assumption). I’ve seen clips where a guy would just burst its AR and it would instantly kill an enemy. Clearly there is something wrong there and that’s cheating IMO.

Not too familiar with the warzone exploit core but there are people using exploits like getting into environments that have no collision, that make the player invisible so they can sneak up on someone, I’ve noticed this happen mostly in Warzone.
Sure the way you make it sound like lag but there wasn’t any, no rubber-banding either.

This issue was patched as well a while back - it was to do with the fire rates of some automatic weapons that could be taken advantage with using modded controllers

This is denial that it isn’t cheating. It’s obvious that mouse+keyboard users gain a huge advantage over controller users in a FPS.
