PLEASE 343 implement a useful report tool to report cheaters, I do not want to fill a form to report someone. Besides, I quit the game and the post game report is not available. The correct flow for this should be “Report player” then select reason and that’s it, not taking me to your website, I need to remember their gamertag (Which can be hacked) It feels worse than government bureaucracy.
I can tell whoever designed your half yoinked report system is not familiar with how cheaters are rampant on PC, has not played against cheaters ever in their life, and does not know how important an efficient report system is needed. I know many players will try to turn off cross play to avoid cheaters once it is implemented (IF it is implemented) but that leaves us PC players confined with them
Not only is the reporting terrible, it won’t do much in a free game. They’ll just make as many extra accounts as they please. Perhaps that’s why it’s called infinite?
I played against an onyx player who had 2981 rp, which most HCS players don’t even have at the moment… I checked theater mode and replayed that match after he pre-fired me through the wall… turns out he was aiming via walls and had a vision of enemies via walls! There was no easy reporting system, so I had to go out of my way to find his account via Xbox live and report him there… Imagine how many cheaters are currently getting away with it because people can’t find the report button during games? Even if we report them do they even care to check? Damn… this game needs to buckle up within the next few weeks because it will easily die before season 2 hits (pretty much dead already).
They’ve abandoned the hardcore fans in search of the flavor of the month free to play crowd. Hoping to grab a few shekels from them along the way. They’ve turned out their best game yet and pulled a bunch of boneheaded moves. Actual fans would’ve paid $60 and then some. Free to play is my biggest gripe with no collision being the second biggest. Doesn’t even feel like halo close range anymore.
343 is on vacation until like jan 15. nothing will be done. Enjoy poor managment/release plans that ruin games. some 40% of players left already, it might be time for me to leave too.

its funny you say this, because I would have paid $20 for MP and $60 for campaign (provided it came with co-op, forge, replay missions, etc, you know, the FULL game) withotu any issue, as well as dumped into a battlepass or 2, and maybe bought some cosmetics on the way…
You have other “posters” here insisting that halo infinite doesnt have a cheating problem, and the existing report system is adequate.

I don’t know why anyone would expect any different. PC/forced cross-play/f2p MP. It’s the perfect setting for cheaters that will be able to make hundreds of accounts.
This is why the report option was designed to be a struggle
We need a good report tool and we need anti-cheat. I don’t want crossplay turned off. As you said that solves nothing for PC players and it separates friends (or in my case my GF and I)
What really sucks is that MCC and every other Xbox PC port uses Easy Anti-Cheat. I don’t know why that isn’t in this game.
Yesterday we played some swat matches and there were 3 in different games, two were like not so obvious, but we had one that simply went rampant. We just killed him once to end his 25 kill spree and quit the game.
I agree, free to play will ruin this game. Sadly. I alrady payed for the BP and extra credits but will not support 343 with this game anymore. It’s just a shame that this game has a lot of potential.
It is really sad that they released a game and went on vacation immediately after. I know it’s the holidays and all that, but I think this is the most important timeframe to pay attention to these details. At least have someone talking back to us. I mean, how do you not know what broke BTB. Do they not use version control? Project management tools to check tasks done that day? My guess is that whoever runs this game, doesn’t even play their own game.
It does feel like they just wanted $$$. I feel bad for some developers in 343, they might not have had any voice in any of the poor game design/business model choices made in this game.
I mean, this cheater problem and missing report tools is just the cherry on top
You need to have some evidence to report. A little clip, anything. Its not some enormously difficult process, but I can understand an in-game route would be much better.

Use this link, select report player, upload small clip, screen shot, whatever it is. You can’t just report without evidence.
They should post this link and sticky it to the thread section so it’s way easier. Found a cheater? Boom show up here, click that link, finished in a few minutes tops. If you look it up through the support section it seems more tedious that using that link. I got that link from someone that works in the support end. I found it easier so i saved it.
I was curious to see the leader boards yesterday and I looked it up and I’m pretty sure I seen the player you’re talking about. He had like 18k damage dealt in a recent match. 18k bro…against other players in the 1900s-2000s. No freaking way man. I think it was a match against ogre2 as well. Lol
When you report, they do follow up with you. I personally think lots of people just don’t report. The reasons can vary from not knowing how to, barely having enough time for a game or 2, or just wanting to carry on and shrug it off. These people get some kinda high off being that high a rank or something. Seeing all their time invested into the game disappear would be the best justice served. I’ve not come across a cheater myself yet, but I’ve came across an annoying deranker account boosting players. So far that’s the only player I’ve reported, and all i did was upload a Screen shot of their match, ask to investigate their game history stats and see that it’s just utterly impossible to get the stats they got against the level of players in the lobby…in no way is it possible for the gold player of a 4 man squat with 3 onyx players getting twice the amount of kills and damage dealt than those onyx players against opponents in daimond and onyx.
I havent gotten feedback because it isn’t a problem that gets solved the next day. Hopefully it’s resolved. I’ve definitely gotten quite a few people banned from h5 doing this crap. I literally came across a team that constantly had a new booster account each time the one used reached a certain rank. I was informed that every single player in that squad got banned, and I tried to look up the players a month later and some of the accounts no longer could be found. Like there was no longer any game history. So it worked in h5, I hope it works in infinite, and it’s even far more punishing for actual cheaters using wall hacks and other stuff.
I told people a month ago that F2P was going to lead to more hackers. They didn’t believe me, and now look where we are. It’s hilarious that, even now, there are people who still doubt the existence of hackers/cheaters in this free-to-play AAA title that has FORCED crossplay.
Why do you insist on being such an annoying little piss ant about this topic in every thread it’s discussed? Lots of people are experiencing cheaters and you’re in every thread being a hall monitor about evidence. People like you make this site just about unbearable.
