There are players using aimbot. I did my research and there is a webpage offering the service for cheats. This is the same reason I stopped playing COD MW.
REF: BTB Map=Hightower Game Mode=Stongholds
Last nite my friends and I saw some guy flying across the map. Have you guys ever seen that before?
Peace!

It really sucks ey. Can’t play a lot of games these days without it either being infested with cheats or having aggressive monetization models that take away from the gameplay experience. Or both.
I seriously don’t know how some of you say you haven’t encountered cheaters. This last month has been the worst I’ve seen in any game ever. It’s pathetic
The real way to know if someone is cheating is to go into theater and see if they are shooting the air a lot. They do this to bring down the accuracy rating at the end of a match. I’m always iffy when i hear people saying they found a cheater, mainly because I get accused of it even with a negative KD. I know theater is broken but when it works its the best source to confirm if it was lag, desync, or cheats. Call me lucky cause I’ve ran into just 1 cheater so far, at the same time I rarely pop into this game anymore to be able to say how the current state of it is.
you will always have some people that are using cheats in game’s that has become more the new normal we all most accept and deal with it.
we all know that anti cheating software is never the big solution for the cheater problem in any game since its easy for the cheating software makers to update there cheating software to bypass the anti cheating software always.
the big problem from halo infinite cheater problem is that the game is Free To Play and has also Force crossplay are the 2 main reasons to make a cheater problem big in halo infinite.
so the best way was if the game was staying with there Pay To Play formule like it has been always and if there adding crossplay make it also a option to turn off.
I would love it if theater worked. 343 could even build systems around it to be like Valve’s Overwatch system in CS:GO.
They could even use it to just get a rating from a large audience to let them know if a particular suspicious match is worth watching so they can decide if someone is cheating and should be banned.
Man, it’s a shame they haven’t put that much love into theater. It really could have been a great tool for them as well as the community.
Walling. Starts off with weird, consistent pre nades and pre-fires. The way I check this is by changing the way I play and put myself in positions that no one playing the objective (or even playing for kills) would put themselves in and see how frequently they nade me or pre-fire me. Basically I play hide and seek for a while, without providing information to them via sound or motion tracker and see if they run straight to me, if they pre-fire/nade, etc.
Incredibly consistent hit frequency with shots. At first it seems like they are good, but then it gets to the point where they land consistent shots with the AR at long distance. Basically the way I check this is again by doing something no one would do and try to make my movement as varied and whacky as possible and see how often they hit me. I also like to get in positions that limit how visible my hitbox is (like trying pixel angles and seeing how often they can land shots on tiny tiny angles).
From utilising those tactics you can map out a pretty good picture as to wether they are good, or if they are cheating (because they aren’t pros. And even if they were you can trick pros with these tactics).
So using that as context, I have come across people in almost every match over the last few days that consistently (to a 100% degree) known exactly where I am (or they are for whatever reason 100% pre-firing my location or pre-nading my location). That’s an indicator.
In significantly fewer matches I’ve had people using aim. People with incredibly high shot consistency, regardless of how sparadic my movement, how far away I am from them, or how little of me they can see.
A working and consistent thater mode would be the final, definitive step in knowing if someone is cheating, but unfortunately Infinte’s theater is about as stable as my last relationship and is completely scuffed.
Still waiting to have a day that doesn’t have any matches with cheaters. This is a joke. I’m seriously not kidding when I say CSGO and CoD aren’t this bad. 10/10 experience
Damn, pretty lucky. Wild that you are also one of the few that experienced it towards the games launch and not after
Good thing ranked seems cleaned up a little (or the cheaters got bored, which is probably more likely)
Probably due to the 30 game requirement or whatever it is for new accounts before they can play ranked. So now they just flood social playlists ![]()
then you can wait long maybe +10 years long when there release the new halo and make it full pay to play and not free to play matchmaking.
so 343 solution is now more to move the problem from ranked playlist to the social playlist’s.
i cant call that a good solution from then at all its only making things more worse.
Keeping the pro and competitive players happy is all that matters apparently.
it seems for me this is the same thing what there have done back in the black ops 4 day’s.
only care about the pro top players or top streamers happy and the basic ‘‘normal’’ player cant not be happy at all.
Correction; keeping the pro and competitive players happy is something that occasionally matters, but always keeping their own wallets happy is definitely all that matters.
The competitive scene is basically the marketing for the game. But like sports teams. They don’t advertise per se, but people still buy the merch, because they like the team via the game that they like.
Where 343 Fails is their iteration of the game. Like a real sport, people love halo. It has its fan base. And the competitive scene is a great way to promote that in similar ways to major league sports.
But the game has to be fun for those who play it. And whatever the particular reason is, amongst the myriad of reasons, people aren’t playing it.
So 343 needs to focus on why people like halo. A party 1st person shooter multiplayer game.
The Actman has it spot on in his assessment. My firends and I used to play halo when we always got together. Today, we still play MCC when we get together. We tried infinite as a group and that lasted about a month.
So yeah, 343 needs to look at the player experience and improve on that.
The fact they haven’t addressed the cheating in almost year is disgraceful.
Yea it is what it is, unfortunately. Just glad MCC is in a good spot atm. I’d like something new (that’s also good), but I’m happy to keep playing the older titles.
I’m super curious how so many people claim to be playing against cheaters in this game when I’ve yet to experience a single cheater since the start of this game.
Regardless of my experience, it still isn’t an enjoyable time playing against people who are hacking and cheating if they truly are.
You truly have been blessed by the Forerunners
