The double shot is a glitch, not a mod.
That’s at least something easier to counter on a software level as input speed and timing restrictions can be set. There comes a point in both of those categories where it’s impossible for a human to react at those levels.
You are naive to think people don’t use modded controllers for Xbox too.
Well thankfully I have a friend who reviews different types of tech on YouTube and he happens to have a modded controller and we did a custom game test. What I’ve been seeing is definitely more in line with a modded controller then a glitch based off the test we ran.
Where did I say this? If you read my post you’ll notice I say modded controllers are on console as well.
There are more and more public press articles (game news, tech news sites, etc.) about the cheating situation with Infinite…
Hope it gets addressed soon.
Said it before crossplay is terrible and I don’t know why game companies push this out so much. There is no option to turn it off yet and if you can turn off crossplay you get punished with longer search times
The fact that something is not 100% cheat proof does not mean that it is not working.
Also, the Valorant kernel app was not an inconvenience for me. It is a gaming PC, I don’t mind it having anti-cheat software installed if that gives me fewer cheaters online.
I’m fine with waiting a little bit longer in a lobby, as long as I can decide what’s important to me as Xbox player…
343 pretty much has to address all of these issues by the end of today or tommorow and do some emergency changes to the shop and battle pass progression while they prepare the large scale changes needed. Their pile of -Yoink!- just keeps growing at this point and won’t stop till they address everything and start to act on it.
That is why I only play Custom Games 99% of the time. At least if I am hosting I can Ban Morons for cheating. You can’t in Social Games.
Cheating is just a way of life in Halo w/ the absolutely overtuned AA on controller anyway. Not really sure what the problem is.
There is a major difference between high amounts of aim assist and wall hacking, aim botting, and moded controllers.
So you also don’t like playing against anyone with an artificial unfair advantage?
Cheating is the influence of things outside the normal parameters of the game. Meaning external programs or scripts. I don’t neccessarily agree with having high levels of aim assist, although I understand why it exists, but it is not cheating as it is an intended function of the game.
Can you define “normal parameters”? Are the normal parameters just whatever 343 has decided? Lets say that in the next 6 months 343 decided to adjust the AA on controller down. Would the current AA then be considered cheating in retrospect?
Normal parameters is anything in the current settings provided by 343, and no, just because they change something down the line does not mean anything prior was “cheating” as it’s still the setting 343 decided upon unless someone made a script that modified it to prior settings, but the it falls under modified from an outside source.
There is literally a hundred articles and threads about aim assist not working at all. And I’ve experienced it. I can tell you for a fact that there is absolutely nothing overpowered about aim assist at this time. It doesn’t even work 60% of the time at all.
Cheating is more than just aimbot and OP aim assist.
The worst I have seen in CoD Warzone is the God and Superman mode (you cannot die and fly around the map even with your vehicle), so, obviously that you don’t have with an OP aim assist and also not with a cronus zen for your controller.
So, even with a cronus zen and full auto fire, you will always lose your fight against a PC cheater that has wall hacks, can pre-aim and option to manipulate much more to impact the game play.
Unless you have proof you’re willing to share, I’m gonna go off on a limb and say this is speculation.
Rapid fire BR’s don’t even seem possible given the game’s hard locked weapon stats.
It’s really not a way of life, in fact it’s not nearly the epidemic players claim it to be. The game’s been out for 3 weeks, and claims like this insinuate that players are accessing hacks like they’re on sale at Walmart.
Oof no, Valorant proved not even this works. Besides, that level of intrusion for the sake of playing a game will have me uninstall this so fast you’d think it was trial software.
I agree. This will go the furthest currently in dealing with cheaters.
For what it’s worth:
