Out of my last ten games I’ve come across three cheaters. All using modded controllers. All rapid firing BR’s in ranked games. I’m talking two BR shots for everyone of mine or my teammates.
I understand that cheating is just a way of life with full blowen PC mods and with modded controllers becoming the most common. But this game need’s a kernel level anti-cheat as well as an anti cheat to combat modded controllers ASAP. I do not want to see Halo become like call of duty. We also need an in-game report system.
I dont want an in game report because from what I’ve seen is that it does nothing. This game needs some anti-cheat on it for sure though. Or at least spartan OPs until it happens.
ms and 343i are going to ruin themselves. It is the biggest joke that console cannot turn off the dam cross play. MS did a good job but it just shows how useless the manager of the Multiplayer department is.
WE DONT WANT CROSS PLAY UNTIL THERE IS NO CHANCE TO MEET CHEATERS!
Unfortunately modded controllers work on console as well. It’s not just a PC issue. In fact modded controllers are the top selling form of cheat. And have been nice Warzone came out on CoD.
First, you can tell if it’s a PC player when you go to view profile and there is no option to open the Xbox profile. That means they are playing the steam version of the game.
Secondly, I never said it was a PC player.
Third, I just mentioned above that there is controller mods for console.
That’s at least something easier to counter on a software level as input speed and timing restrictions can be set. There comes a point in both of those categories where it’s impossible for a human to react at those levels.
Well thankfully I have a friend who reviews different types of tech on YouTube and he happens to have a modded controller and we did a custom game test. What I’ve been seeing is definitely more in line with a modded controller then a glitch based off the test we ran.
Where did I say this? If you read my post you’ll notice I say modded controllers are on console as well.
Said it before crossplay is terrible and I don’t know why game companies push this out so much. There is no option to turn it off yet and if you can turn off crossplay you get punished with longer search times
The fact that something is not 100% cheat proof does not mean that it is not working.
Also, the Valorant kernel app was not an inconvenience for me. It is a gaming PC, I don’t mind it having anti-cheat software installed if that gives me fewer cheaters online.
343 pretty much has to address all of these issues by the end of today or tommorow and do some emergency changes to the shop and battle pass progression while they prepare the large scale changes needed. Their pile of -Yoink!- just keeps growing at this point and won’t stop till they address everything and start to act on it.
