I got ban for a week from chat, because for some reason my controller would sent the signal to the game that saying that my microphone was constantly transmitting sound (the little voice speaker symbol) even do I didn’t even had a microphone connected. I switched controllers today and the speaker symbol stopped flashing so its was more likely my controller going bad. The ban is up in a week and i almost never use the microphone. My question is if this ban could affect me in anyway in the future or if it may blacklist me or something, thanks for any help you could bring me.
Kinetic mic maybe? A voice ban shouldn’t land you in anything serious. Don’t worry.
After a week, that should be the end of it. No blacklists or anything like that.

As mentioned above, if you have a kinect plugged in, it could be because of that. The built in mic of a kinect isn’t exactly stellar.
yeah, if you have a kinect plugged in then un-plug it because it was probably the culprit. also the kinect voice is really really annoying, you almost have to mute them because of feedback from their own TV.
A good way to test to see if any noise really was happening, try sending a voice message and listening for static just in case it was a bad controller.
Ok, thanks everyone. The kinect is disconnected and I used another controller today and the microphone active symbol disappeared, so hopefully it was the controller going bad. Thank you once more for your help
