Locking armors behind paywalls is totally understandable for a free to play game. Changing your armor affects the looks of your character more than anything, so why in the world can’t I be allowed 2 basic color options, let alone 1? I’m not even free to choose a SINGLE color for my character.
Primary and secondary colors do not even hurt the coatings system.
Give us Halo 3 style colors for free. Then you can still charge for special paintjobs and materials. The idea that someone won’t want to pay for a special design because they’re totally satisfied with basic red and green is preposterous.
The progression is so slow. I’d just like to have my old Reach colors for my guy until I unlock something cooler after a year of grinding.
Also worth noting is the dishonesty in the first multiplayer trailer. We were told no FOMO, except buying the battle pass does not grant you eventual access to all the armors in the game. Many helmets are only purchasable separately during timed daily sales. My favorite helmet from the flights is only sold outside the battle pass, for the same price as the pass. Ridiculous.
