I think it would be sweet to be able to get on larger enemies rather than assassinating them. This way, you can stick grenades on them, or just beat them down like a vehicle.
Here’s a video from PAX 2010 where they show a few things Reach didn’t get to implement. Character Boarding is one of those things. Personally, I think it would be awesome to be able to board Promethian Knights or even just Hunters. Not to mention, it would be pretty easy to add.
Or maybe you can harness them and ride them around. Imagine riding a hunter into battle, shooting his fuel rod, and swatting grunts like flies! /sarcasm
But seriously I think it would be cool to assassinate hunters and other large enemies like this.
I would very much like this feature, but it should take some amount of skill to be able to actually board the enemy besides just doing it with every enemy.

Strato-sentinel has been semi-confirmed. If its in there, i bet you ten internetz you can ride piggyback.
Watching Master Chief board that Hunter… that was epic. That would be cool to feature, but then you may just break the said beings body just by your weight alone.

I think the boat even had some influence on the space fights. The physics and maneuverability, that is.
