Changing Timezones Bannable?

Okay, say you play a decent amount of matches and have double XP on, but you hit the XP cap sooner than expected, is changing timezones accepted by 343?

I hate having a cap on a game like this, I love it and hit the cap once(a couple days ago) and I would hate to hit the cap the match that I get my 117 wins and lose out on the 17,343 XP.

Can someone get XP retracted or put on a suspension for changing timezones to unlock their XP cap?

Yes. It happened in Reach.

By “happened in Reach” do you mean people changed their timezone and then BOOSTED? Or change timezones and then continue to play normally? I already know Bungie didn’t ban/reset/suspend for changing timezone, but the person is just playing legit.

I am asking if 343 allows this or not? 343 isn’t Bungie so I am not going to say no or yes, but I am going to assume they don’t care.

If anyone would like to add to the conversation or anything, please feel free to post, I would’ve liked a more thorough answer, but as usual, got nothing.

Or you could be utterly dedicated and move to japan and back every night for about 5 hours… Completely legit.

Well, with this piss poor connection features for online MP, I am always in Japan…

If you didn’t get the joke, I am talking about how a person from the U.S. could get a Japanese host instead of a U.S. host for some odd reason, thus making me be in Japan.
