I changed my gamertag, and on Halo Waypoint, it says my progress is back to recruit, what happened?
idk man. But changing your gamertag isnt the issue
Play a few games of reach and give it some time to update maybe.

Your Waypoint rank is completely independent of your Halo rank and don’t correlate.
but when I would go on waypoint before the ban, it would display my progress, my current rank, everything that the game said, but now after I changed my tag, it basically says I’ve never played Halo Reach before and my rank is back to recruit
try re-linking with your new gamertag, also it should update once you play halos online

My old gamertag for this particular Xbox used to RyukeHellfire65. When I altered it to reflect PhNx Hellfire, b.net was not affected. It should be the same for you, though last I checked, b.net will no longer be updating Halo stats in a few days anyways so…
Oh noes, so if I change back I get my stats back (and custom challenges, turn in)
