Halo has been changing so much of its art style; vehicles, weapons, armours. there are more but these three are the mains.
- Obvious changes are the armours with a thin spartan body just looks so feminine, weird alien-like helmet and the cod/belt piece was removed (which annoyed me a lot) - I am actually quite upset because my favourite weapon (the Shotgun) has been changed drastically and so was a lot of other weapons. - Many people including me were quite disappointed and just unhappy overall with the vehicle changes, some examples are the Warthog (mostly the sound of the Warthog that kinda ruins the aspect, every other changes I can live with) Scorpion, Drop pods, Pelican and the Wraith. I want to know why they change the looks of these unique and awesome aspect of Halo, not all changes are good and these are unnecessary changes which kinda wreck the Halo aesthetic (in my opinion at least)
What do you guys think? Very Unlikely but can we expect a more original look and feel of what Halo used to look like in the future? (PLS give me my Reach-like Shotgun)
I think any hope of preserving the traditional Halo aesthetic died the exact moment the Pizza AR became a thing.
Halo has lost its artistic integrity, much like how TF2 devolved from a sophisticated cold-war era spy-tech game into this.
It really is a shame that 343i decided to toss out the old styles for no reason and go with generic bs. Halo use to have a unique style… Now it’s generic garbage in my opinion.
The shotgun and rocket launcher were the most disappointing thing

I really don’t like the way 343 made the spartans look. It really kills the halo aesthetic for me.
The new shotgun design is -Yoink-, fav was probably Halo CE.
A lot of the weapons literally look like they took them from Halo 4 and didn’t change a thing, like the Sniper Rifle, shotty, railgun and Saw.
Some of the helment designs are beyond ugly, but then there are some good ones.
I love the new vehicle designs though.
I agree, my dislike is that every armour is shiney and new looking. There’s no option to age it or make it look worn either, and where’s the blood gone ?
I think if they darkened the color palette and changed the vehicle sounds it would improve darastically
I hope halo 6 will have a Reach style art
I really hope in future Halo’s they take inspiration from Reach’s artstyle and blend it with CEA to make it slightly less gritty.

Now I’m thinking of CoD. It was a great reliving of historical WWII battles but now… I’m not even going to link anything, you guys deserve better then that.
Super depressing.
I’ve said it before but, everything in Halo 5 feels to mechanic where as in previous games it felt more organic.
It doesn’t feel ancient and alien enough.
The maps also show this well, they just feel so dull and generic to look at. It’s like all artistic direction was thrown out he window.
