So I never looked too into it, but didn’t Naomi’s armor change to look like a previous generations but with the most up to date shielding/armor?
What’s to say (probably will be moved) we can’t change our armor in future games to look as we please, as long as it has existed, does that make sense?
One could argue that, that is really how we change our armor every time we change it in our armory lol.
But no seriously it could be a cool concept but umm…what would be the point if we can already pick our armor perms?
You can actually create an offshoot of Naomi’s Mark VII with just the Air Assault and Mark V…
EDIT: At a canonical scale? Very loosely. At a functional scale? Kinda on the dot.
I see what your saying basically allowing all armors from all the games to be in the next Halo and to have Mk IV-VII and GEN 2. I can be on board for this good idea.
^^
I don’t think 343i will be on board for this though. More than likely that want the Spartans looking streamlined, not different models running around everywhere.
You got to admit though that would allow for a lot of variety and uniqueness and 343 has been pushing the your spartan is you line since Halo 4 came out so I could see it but it as a good idea and possible however unlikely.
I bring up the question because of 2 things, cortana changing John’s armor.
And bring Mark V out of nowhere with gen II tech.
I’d have my own spartan in a SPI revamp or SPI MK II (yes halo junky, I love my spartan III)
SPI armor would be nice, but I’d also like the availability of prototypical designed armor. Reach’s Scout was rather sick (if not the best version) and I found it held to its canon appropriately- notable similarities to Recon Prototype.
Reachs scout really did look awesome now that I think about it lol
I just want an SPI in a halo game

I’d like the Hellbringer helmet to be upgraded for GEN2 use.
http://www.halopedia.org/images/3/3d/XHW_-_unscunit.jpg The back of this Spartan looks ridiculous, lol.

I think that it wasn’t a case of Naomi’s armour changing, but that Mark VII Mjolnir just so happens to resemble Mark V armour.
I don’t see why SPI couldn’t be included as an armour variant in-game though; after all there were mjolnir variants of ODST armour and Military Police helmets.
That’s one big spartan o.o
And I think they don’t implement a lot of good looking armor, like SPI because Bungie and 343, never showed off the spartan III’s very much at all.
I have to explain to some of my friends who they are lol
which is sad I like the IIIs as much as the II’s, the IV’s need to prove themselves to me yet. If I had my way all armors would be in the game and customizable under the guise of being GEN2. It would add so much to the customization factor of the game even if it is all aesthetic in nature. I would also love to see a actual mirrored finish on my visor though I’m not sure if we are there yet technically.
Some of the " upgraded" armor in halo 4 is just terrible
Halo reach commando vs halo 4? Halo reach of course
That’s why I had my idea back in the day.
Allow us to choose the generation of spartan we’d want to be, II, III, or IV. (Just for cosmetics)
Each generation has their armor from their games.
II’s get halo 1-3 armor
III’s get reach armor (plus SPI)
IV’s get halo 4 armor
Of course you get the armor that’s shared with each generation; Scout, recon, etc. ( but they would look like that generations variant
that might get too complicated if they just did lets say for example you go into the customization menu you click on the name of the armor Ie. Hazop once you click on the armor name there would be GEN I, II, and III denoting each armor style while still being technically one armor. so there would be one armor with a 3 variants you could have and mix and match each variant to suit your personality.
That sounds like a great idea actually
Speaking of armor cosmetics, apparently the upgraded Grenadier helmet with UA/FC attachments is the original ‘Commando’ helmet. Considering it wasn’t a standalone variant, but an ad-hoc modification.
I just know the commando from reach was -Yoink!-, besides the shoulders
