Before It was bungie and 343 controlling halo, now its just 343 which means that they need to make some major changes to everything fileshare(halo reach/halo 3/halo 3 odst). Now since bungie stoped updated halo on the 03/31/2012 players wont have what they used to have like halo 3 stats and fileshare downloading. I personally miss the halo 3 stats something that I took a look at almost everyday. Even thoug 343 is making the next halo they could update waypoint to hold some of the older stuff that users glanced at and/or downloaded. I am hoping this is tooken into consideration because many people miss the old way as do I.
Halo 3 stats are not coming back at this time, however, file sharing support will during summer.
Is there a suggestion thread for the stats section of the site? If so, I didn’t find it in the 20 seconds or so I spent looking so posted here instead.
In addition to the standard “More stats” stuff, and the lost medals, and other stats that were shown on bungie but inaccessible here; I’d recommend changing the color of the scroll bar next to the map selection on the game history page. It doesn’t contrast very well at all. It’s a thin, light-dark-blue bar on a dark-blue/navy/black background. It’s a silly color combination, like the white links on a light grey background in the forums.
Also, timestamps in the game history someplace; not just the date the game was played. Doesn’t have to be on the main page if there isn’t room there, it can go on the specific game details page.
Including a “next game” and “previous game” button on an individual game details page would be great.
I agree there are many changes waypoint might need or that users may want but they will be updating forsure either before or after halo 4 or I the summer when they allow you to download fileshare files. Perhaps some of your ideas will contribute.
Is there an option somewhere to turn off the profanity filter thing? I think I get more offended by reading “Yoink” or “Blam” rather than something like -Yoink-
'Cause there’s always the extra bit of time to run through words that you assume a profanity filter might take issue with until you find one that makes a bit of sense. Even then it could be the wrong one, which would be a bit sad.

Nope, and it should stay that way to be honest.
Bit of a shame that H3 stats won’t be coming back, but hopefully they can work on updating the current games stats a little more…

The yoink system to me turns cussing into a game here on the forums I take it if someone wants to swear they should be treated like the 18 year old that halo is rated and be IP banned from the forums.

Since many internet arguments/problems come from misunderstandings, I don’t see how it could hurt to see somebody’s original ideas. At least to me, words are words; tools for creating understanding and sharing ideas; and as such none is bad in and of itself, only with its context and how it’s used.
There’s a filter that hides a few words, but it doesn’t hide the intent behind them. If people use these words to be hurtful/inflammatory, the mods still need to deal with it. Sometimes the words can be added for emphasis or flow, which is disrupted by the filter. I don’t really see the downside to having an option to turn off the filter, so you see the actual word rather than the replacement. If such words can offend somebody; that person won’t use that option. If people like words, they can use more of them. Everybody wins.
Halo 2/3/ODST stats would be cool, but I understand why they decided to not import/track them. Those were strictly Bungie’s children, and 343i does not support them. 343i tracks Reach and Anniversary (and future Halo titles) statistics, which are all supported by 343i, so it seems logical that they’d only track statistics for these games.
As for changes to Waypoint, I’d like to see a more simple and easy-to-use interface when it comes to looking at stats. It doesn’t have to be exactly like Bungie’s, but it’s a good example. Since Reach’s API has now ceased, I’d also like to see even more in-depth stats, since sites like Halotracker won’t be able to operate in the foreseeable future.
You are propally right but they said “not at this time” which meens they might in the future but as now they don’t have a need for it with halo:reach and halo 4 to soon be released. Now I’m not confirming anything I’m just simply stating something.
Long live Halo!
Long Live 343 Industries!
