Keep in mind, these are just my own opinions. I realize that some of these issues have already been addressed, and I also realize that some of these aren’t even important, but still, everybody has different opinions. Feel free to discuss them, but please, be civil.
- Remove all bonuses for automatic weapons in smart scope, instead of reducing them.
- Magnum kicks like a mule, instead of giving it recoil, it should just have bloom or a larger reticule like in previous Halos.
- Smart scope should be faster for some weapons, like the sniper rifle. Smart scope is supposed to be just a reskinned zoom, so it should have the same properties.
- This won’t happen, but I’m putting it out there. Smart scope should just be removed. What I mean by this is removing the weapon model in zoom. Previous Halos gave amazing peripheral vision whilst zoomed in, but now the weapon models get in the way of situational awareness.
- Visors should be shiny again, like in Halo 3 and H2A. They seem too dull now.
- Black or customizable bodysuits, enough said.
- Battle rifle looks pretty bad. The ammo counter should be blue, not black with blue background, but blue like in the original trilogy. The scope is also just plain ugly. If it can be changed back to Halo 4’s scope, that would be great.
- Battle rifle sounds are still not up to par. It doesn’t sound quite as powerful as it should be. Halo 2 classic/anniversary and Halo 3 all had beefy sounding BRs, while Halo 4/5’s BR sounds like a rusty typewriter.
- This may not actually be true, but I think that in the beta, the DMR takes 5 shots to kill, but the final shot takes down shields, as well as kill the person. It would be helpful for it to completely take down shields in just 4 shots, keeping the TTK, but letting the person being shot have better information about his impending death.
- SMG’s range is too long. It seems to outplay the assault rifle in just about everything. If the firerate or damage or even just a bigger reticule were to be changed, it would balance it out.
- Red team has pink as a secondary color. Why? White or maroon would make far better alternatives.
- Headshot hitboxes are too big.
- Too much bullet magnetism and not enough aim assist. It’s kind of like a balance, and right now, it’s not balanced.
- Melee doesn’t have enough lunge range, if any. It should strike a balance between Halo 2 and 3.
- The colors in general are just too bright. I like a more restrained color palette for Halo, like in 2 or 3.
- This is more of a concern, but I hope there will be big asymmetrical maps for gamemodes like big team battle or CTF, or maybe even an invasion style game mode.
- I realize that sprint speed has already been adjusted, but the acceleration should also be adjusted. I shouldn’t have the room to do a shoulder bash if I was just camping in a corner.
- Jump height should be increased. Clamber should be a crutch for players who didn’t quite make that jump, not a necessity for everyone.
- Shield regen during sprinting shouldn’t just not happen. It should just be significantly slower.
- Grenade hitmarkers should be removed, since they just encourage random grenade spam. I would like it if all hitmarkers were removed, but that’s just me.
