Changes, revivals, and improvements for Halo 6

First off, I do not think REQ packs are beneficial to the game. I believe that every piece of gear should be earned and that there should be no shortcut with microtransactions. I remember when you actually had to work to unlock gear, like in Reach and Halo 3. It seems now to be a trend in the industry to make everything a long grind to compel you to buy random loot crates, and I think 343 should get away from this. Titanfall series had it to where you bought skins, but it was no loot crate, this is a much better system.

I would also love to see playable elites. I know this would be difficult to balance, since in the newer games the elites and spartans are different heights, thus different headshot hit boxes, but maybe this could be worked around in special gamemodes or what not. Invasion would be amazing, and if not invasion, maybe a warzone like elites vs spartans would be very cool.

The last thing I suggest here is a different launch situation from halo 5. If I remember correctly halo 5 came out with limited content(talking about no launch forge and arena content i.e few gamemodes), so 343 needs to do everything it can to ensure this does not happen a second time.

What do you guys think? What should be added, brought back, expanded upon, or anything for that fact?

343 should definitely go back to the halo 3 or halo reach way of unlocking armour instead of having a randomised bit of gear picked out for you. I think I would be good if the did a hybrid version between halo reach and halo 3 where a majority of gear is unlocked through ranking up and/or purchasing with credits, and then some special gear can be unlocked through completing certain achievements or commendations.

i completely agree, the REQ system should be thrown in the trash and never looked upon ever again, if 343i wants to monetize something then i would suggest monetizing weapon camouflages and maybe armor camouflage also?

i would love to see the playable Elites back in halo and you could do this in two ways, first and the largest would be to change the elite design and bring it to a more classic style therefore Spartans and elites are similar enough to be playable. the second would be to insert invasion or warzone or both into the game.

for the game to be successful it must launch as a full game and not as a half finished product.

for armor customization i would like to see a merger of the H3 and Reach unlock system where most would be unlockable through the Reach progression but some armor variants should be ONLY unlockable through achievements, NO ARMOR MONETIZATION

Req Packs need to disapear

Playable Elites need to come back (and quit locking those threads)

At the very least the game should have campaign, co-op (split and online), online multiplayer (that isn’t broken) theater and a competent forge mode (Halo 3 features). Stuff like firefight can be added in as well as other playable characters (ODST) later.

You’ll be happy to hear there will be no purchasable loot boxes. Will it have no loot boxes at all? Who knows, let’s hope not. As far as mtx in general though, expect them. If you expect free post launch content, expect mtx.

I’m hoping things like BTB and forge will be there at launch this time around since they’re clearly not being rushed like before.

  • No req system.
  • No monetized armour.
  • Have the full game at launch.
  • Playable elites should be there with as much armour customisation as spartans.
  • Buildings should return to forge for quicker forging. Have the forerunner Reach buildings with human buildings and the Elite stone Halo 5 structures.
  • Forge objects should have better texture like Reach.

My dream would be:

  • Launch with all the “base” content (to me the base content is at least everything Reach had at launch).
  • No monetization on armor customization, armor colors, visor.
  • No weapons attachments, or vehicles variants, they ruin and normalize the weapons and vehicles sandbox.
  • Everything works at launch.
  • No Warzone.
  • No REQ system or anything related to it.
