I attended the HCS Worlds competition in Burbank, CA at the end of March '17 with a friend. When purchasing tickets we were told to provide our gamertag and that we would receive some req packs including the exclusive HCS even emblem. In the middle of April I paid to change my gamertag. Yesterday my friend received his emblem req pack and I did not. I am assuming that this is because I changed my gamertag. Do I have any recourse here or am I out of luck? Is anyone else in a similar situation?

When you changed your gamer tag did you pay to change it or did you start a new account? If you started a new account it probably is there and not sure if you would have any recourse. If you paid to change it you would think you would still have received it.

I did pay to change my gamertag. I honestly didn’t think anything of it at the time, but am pretty bummed right now. I assumed that my old tag would redirect to this one, but if the entry is done manually that may not be the case.

Yeah you would think it would automatically be redirected. But if they do enter it manually by gamer tag and they tried after you had changed it it probably didn’t come up on their end and they probably assumed it was a misspelled gamer tag or something.
Let’s hope it gets redirected. And what are the changes of someone using the exact same account name as before.

For sure. Though I doubt someone else picked up the tag. When I search for the tag it says “We couldn’t find that person.” I’m not sure who to reach out to at 343. Definitely a minor issue, but still annoying.
