So I decided to change my Xbox Live gamertag recently and I didn’t think that it would cause any issues. However looking at my profile and service record for Reach, I don’t have any stats, instead saying that “I have never played this game before.”
See Here:
My old name was Theinferno350 (Cringey I know, I was 13 when I made it) and I am just curious if this is to prepare for launch or if my records just got wiped?
Any help or insight would be appreciated.
Your stats need to sync up:
> Older Halo games work a little differently from modern Halo in respect to stats and service records. If you’re here because Waypoint is telling you that you haven’t played a particular game, then your service records will be out of sync. This usually happens if you have changed your gamertag since you last played one of the older games (Halo3, ODST, Reach) and is relatively simple to fix. You’ll need to boot the games up again and play something. This can either be campaign, multiplayer, forge, etc, anything as long as you are connected to Xbox live - playing the backwards compatible version of a game should also work.

Will it work with the PC version or does it have to be on Xbox?
MCC Reach and Halo Reach for 360 are two different games, with their own stats. If you want to see your service record back, you have to play the 360 version on Xbox.

And what about the transfer of my stats from Xbox 360? If I dont have access to my Xbox 360 for Reach, will they still transfer over or did I screw over my transfer?
Reach is backward compatible so you can install and play it on Xbox One (with your original stats from 360). If you don’t have access to an Xbox 360/One i’m afraid there’s no other way to get your service record back.
