Has 343 explained why/how the ranking system changed? I thought it was just me getting seriously downranked (because I blew my early matches), but the leaderboards show nobody above CSR 1800. I understand too many people were reaching Champion last season, but what’s the strategy now?
No clue, I know people that won every match and placed in Diamond. They’re probably just making it so you actually deserve Champion ranking.
I think they hard reset it.
Some people were mad at how easy champion is achieved, I personally liked it more because matches were more competitive.
I just wish they would explain what’s happening. Nobody at Champion yet seems a little off.
I have no idea in all honesty. I managed to get gold from 4 wins and 6 loses into Gold 3 thought i’d be lower than that tbh. But yeah teaches me for trying new heroes in ranked not enitrely sure what I was thinking but hey 1v1’s are my thing no matter what.
Granted I did play people from last season in the range of Champion and Onyx I didn’t actually face anyone that hadn’t previously got that rank when the season before I was playing no rankers and the hardest being gold.

Yeah me too lol I fluffed up so hard on forge just by instinctively buying cutters powers lol happened more times than id like to admit aha. But hey ho not too bad i can always work my way up and i dont like testing strats in team war as it isnt the same calibre of players.
Hard reset to MMR. To those of you who don’t know what mmr is it is basically a hidden true skill that sticks with you (you can check it out on Izhere.net when they update the leaderboards this weekend) and based on how high or low your mmr is, is where you will be placed. No one has reached onyx because your mmr has to be a certain amount before you can reach those ranks and of course your placement is based on your mmr so next season if your mmr is decently high you will be placed in a higher division. If mmr sticks and your mmr is above a 3.5 then you will be placed at onyx 1700 which is the highest you can be placed
