Change Arby's voice

I recently looked the Halo 2A Prologue (the one with arby and Locke) again in German and I beg 343 to change the Arbiters voice… He sounds really good talking English but I can’t stand his German voiceover, he sounds like a teenager trying to sound serious.
I will get the English version anyway, but first I will play trough the game in German to be sure I get every detail of the story but this will be pain with a voice like that in it.

343 please don’t ruin the atmosphere of the game with a minor issue like that…

I’m okay with Locke but I can’t stand arby, he is absolutely laughable.

Same thing for the italian version: in Halo 2 and 3 arby’s dubber was really good, now in the H2A prologue they’ve changed his voice and he sounds more like a nasty pirate than a noble warrior. Hope that this isn’t a definitive change.

Seriously? You’re complaining about the dubbing? I’m not english/american and I can’t stand dubbed -Yoink-. Do you listen to dubbed music too?

I just saw the new Arby compared to Halo 2/3 both in German and holy crap you are right, I hope they change the voice actor

I just looked up who was the German voice actor for Arby’s role and it looks like it was Martin Magestro who is still alive and well… He voiced a few characters for Microsoft but it seems like he stopped doing so. Seems to be a tradition at the German part of the Halo franchise as the Master Chief was voiced by 3 or 4 (!!!)different actors trough all Halo games

Besides the new voice of the arbiter is Boris Tessmann and after looking up his name I remembered where I knew him from :joy: He also voices Patrick Dempsey in Greys Anatomy… Oh man I can’t stand this anymore :joy::joy::joy:
If Microsoft tried to get the worst voiceover for arby they completed their mission extremely well

I checked out the original in German on YouTube and then compared it. Wow…they need to fix that arbiter is a wise and aged warrior. Not a 20 something

about dubbing? I’m from sweden, can’t stand anything dubbed, unless there is some serious dedication and heart to it, which i agree this Tweenage Arbiter does not have. Keith David fa life

Oh my gosh, how did they even get the Arbiter to sound like an angsty teenager in a language such as German? I don’t see why they couldn’t have found a deep and powerful voice, like that of Keith David’s. German is known for being a strong and intimidating language.

Unfortunately, I don’t think 343 has anything to do with the non-English voice actors. It’s probably a localisation team from a MS Europe or something.

#1: Wow, you’re right, Arby’s voice does sound terrible in German! lol
#2: I don’t understand why you would care so much. I mean, to me it’s kind of annoying listening to a little kid in a big body speaking but it’s not a big deal. And anyway, I’m American so I guess I’m lucky that I get to listen to the coolest voice. xD

Because it’s unbelievable and really detracts from the experience.
