Chances of flood in halo infinite??

What are your thoughts on the likelihood of flood?

Everyone was saying the pug sounds 343 posted could be flood sounds but after seeing the trailer I think they’re gonna be grunt or some creature sounds… I just don’t know how they’re gonna add the flood to the storyline at this point! So sad…

The only way I see them adding the flood to the story is if the banished are trying to use the flood to take over the galaxy which would be soooooo cool to see

I think it’s pretty likely considering that the tower in the distance is likely the palace of pain

I’m saying there is a very low chance at this point simply due to the fact that Infinite has a T rating, and the Flood are by nature a very disturbing and graphically intense enemy. If they are by some chance, I’m skeptical they could be portrayed in a way that does them justice while still managing to fit within the restrictions of that rating.

I hope for them to be a surprise in the campaign. Would also like if they added a survival mode fully dedicated to the flood.

So disappointed infinite is a T rating

Agreed, I think it’s an unnecessary hamper to the series that isn’t worth the artistic sacrifice just to get a few more copies under the Christmas tree.

I’m actually pretty sure that’s not the final rating. While it might not be M, I wouldn’t take the current rating at face value until the game goes ‘gold’. There’s no ratings in the promotional material, and plenty of listings still have the game as RP https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/halo-infinite (bottom)

Remember, games now aday can get away with a lot more, an M back when Halo CE came out wouldn’t necesarily be an M today. Also, ames like WoW are still T but have a ridiculous content rating (including Blood and Gore).

I think it’s still pretty likely because it’s on a halo ring, presumably zeta halo.

While I hope you’re right, the T rating on the Xbox store that specifies “Violence” doesn’t seem like a placeholder to me, so I’m not very optimistic.

The only reason why I’m really holding out hopw is that there’s very obviously blood in the trailer (it just doesn’t stick to the ground, which is dumb). Halo 5 was rated T for Violence and Blood. There’s a seperate rating for things like only alien blood, called Animated Blood. If anything, I believe a final rating would have that.

Also, Like I said before, the Xbox store (and allegedly steam, but I haven’t seen it) say T, no where else. No trailers, not the ESRB site, and not the microsoft splash page. Like I said, I don’t believe it’s going to be rated M or anything, but I don’t believe the content ratings are final.

Not the base game but a 40 to 70 dollar dlc story missions then yes

Actually yeah, there was a lot of blood… when the grunts explode they explode more graphically than any other halo… sooooo cross your fingers?

I was also thinking that the pug sounds are grunt sounds. Remember Assault on the Control Room from Halo CE? At the start of the level cutscene, there was a grunt sniffing like a dog on the ground right before a pelican showed up from the pit.
