Hi 343:
I spent the last TWO weeks with XBOX Req pack support trying to get a resolution to my problem. They have run me around, made me wait, promised resolution within 72 hours and ultimately failed to respond… Dead air…
The Xbox support ID number is: 1333997033
I downloaded Twitch, watched the series, and nothing was made available in the req pack download store.
I contacted support and nothing after days of waiting they told me to download it by the 21st of March…A date in the past… This is AWFUL customer service.
I have been a Halo player since the very beginning, and it is the first time I have been completely abandoned by support.
Really a disappointing set of events that could have been avoided if it was clear how to download. I am not a Twitch user, so setting up the account and linking it to my gamer tag is likely a bug.
It is insulting to see players play with the championship armor and know that 343 and Microsoft have completely let me down.
Microsoft couldn’t offer any support…Perhaps 343 can do better?
Hey OP. The special pack that was released for the HWC finals was a free purchase that needed to bought from the Xbox Live store. Links to the pack were well advertised here on the forums, twitch chat, Reddit and other social media. Sorry that you missed it, it’s not available any more I’m afraid
That is not the case. I do not follow reddit, facebook, twitter, twitch, Instagram, or any social media. The advertisement was simple. Watch the show, get the req pack. I did that. I even downloaded an application I did not want to accommodate the Microsoft/343 Requirement. And nothing came from it. I contacted Microsoft Req pack support the day after the event, see above noted reference number, and there it would have been simple for the folks at Microsoft to direct me to the proper location. They did not. and here I am. Two weeks locked in support hell…
I think this is unacceptable for 343/Microsoft to say its over, that is not what was promised. If you tuned into Twitch, it should have been AUTOMATICALLY granted to my account. I have looked through the forums and it is clear I am not the only one who got passed over.
Nothing I saw in the show indicated to me to download it off of the Xbox live store. Req packs are downloaded through the REQ PACK STORE, and I saw nothing on the day of the series. Equal compensation for the req pack would be warranted from 343/Microsoft. Microsoft recognizes the mistake and offered a month of gold membership…But not the same thing.
I think 343 should escalate this.

The system show and delivery a message saying something went wrong after the pack was not longer there i contact xbox costumer support i contact them 4 time about this issue i was told to contact them back if i don’t hear anything from you guys. I am not happy about this issue my gamertag is Inheritor118 if you could please fix this problem . The req pack is not longer available if you guys can add it to the gold Reqpacks it will be very helpful and i will be happy to download the world championship reqpack 2016 i will purchase the armor to complete my last set of armor or whatever you can do to readd the world championship reqpack challenger. I have being lately back on line since the first day the halo 5 came out. I purchased the limited edition halo 5 silver and blue console. I have also spend so much money buying those gold req packs to complete all the armors i think i deserve like any one else the achieve the championship armor. I believe i am a very good costumer but i haven’t receive any respond of gratitude at list to confirm that you are taking care of this matter. Thak you i hope that you can help and be supportive to my self and others with the same problem.

I feel your pain Inheritor! I hope more people come forward about the way the download for the championship series failed to download or be shown in the req pack store!

Sorry folks but nowhere was it stated that it would be automatically added and unless everyone had their Xbox live accounts synced with Twitch there would be no way to automatically grant the pack to everyone that watched. Even if they did, I’m still not sure it would be possible to do that and historically rolling these things out in waves takes a lot of time (see Teishen armour). The announcements were to tune into find out how to get it and during the stream information was given out about it being a free purchase from the store. If you missed, I am sorry but there’s nothing more that can be done unless the armour is released again at some point. As it stands, it’s no longer available.
I downloaded the REQ pack from the store, but I don’t have the armor, it’s clearly in the installed section, it simply doesn’t appears in the open packs section in halo 5.

No, youre right it didn’t say that it would be automatically added. It in fact didn’t say anything at all. Watch the show, get the req pack.
As I mentioned earlier if you didn’t follow twitter/forums/reddit/etc you couldn’t get the pack…
Sorry isn’t an answer, it is a simple electronic skin that can EASILY be corrected if 343 wanted. It needs to be escalated. Pretty simple database search to see what gamer tag watched the show on Twitch…Seems like a cop out…

I had this logged with Microsoft the day after the event. Answering the event is over is not acceptable.
Why can you not have a support person contact me via email and deal with this like proper customer service? I did everything you asked and now I have spent HOURS chasing support persons at Microsoft…343 has been nowhere to be found…
Having a monitor placate the issue is not helping. Support is not given through forums, that is deflecting responsibility. Proper support is done 1:1 and in a resolving manner, try addressing the issues on an individual basis and not assume every situation is the same and can be done by a global forum…

I too had the same issue and got the same run around. How about just give the pack to the gamer tags that have the issue. Not difficult.

Seems fair to me as well. How much does it really cost 343? Would be nice if they did it under good customer support. If we have gone through this much effort, then they should be able to see that we are not tying to get away with something…

I think it will come up on this new update for some reason i want believe that 343 industries has add the armor set world’s championship in the gold Reqpacks. It wouldn’t make no sense if in the library armory shows the challenger armor exist there and shows is locked for all those that didn’t get it. If it was a one time thing it wouldn’t show there at library armors . Some how the way i see it is that it will be add it to the gold Reqpacks to be unlocked otherwise it shouldn’t have to show in the armor as locked. Well at list thats the way i see it.

I don’t think so. I believe that the small number of us are going to be abandoned by 343 and Microsoft. Very typical of the support that 343 has shown for its customers. Look at the launch of Halo 5…Single Use req codes? Seriously?? By the time I entered the codes it was gone. 100K people watching the show and losing out in an instant…How fair is that?
