I haven’t played Halo in over a month for reasons that have been spammed all across these forums. I’m still a big enough Halo fan that I’ll come on these forums every now and then to see what’s new or things they may be changing, and this new DLC does sound intriguing.
However, there is still no changes to the core gameplay that I think desperately needs to happen in order for me to come back to the game, but I feel like if they made this DLC free it could possibly bring back players who have gone on Halo 4 hiatus.
I don’t want to spend another 800 MSP for a couple maps and weapon skins. I’ve already paid over $20 for DLC maps that I never get to play cause no one else has them.
What are your thoughts?

No, definitely not. 800 MSP = $10, it is a pretty good deal for all of that. Unfortunately, 343i isn’t a charity service.
I’m not trying to be a charity service. I’m just saying if 343 really did want to bring back more players they would offer it for free. They’ve already robbed me out of $25 worth of maps that I don’t ever get to play.
What about for the people who purchased the LE or the War Games Map Pass. Will 343i pay us back? lol no.
players like us payed for the maps because we wanted to at the time, no one has been robbed. I am surprised the forge islands were free, and do not think this DLC should be free, as it is too much and people just don’t deserve it. After all, the reason a game can fail is partly the game and partly the players fault.
Also, it looks Awesome, you think you’re gona get all that swag for free? Hell no…
800 MSP is worth it.

Pay you back? You got early access to the DLC, you should be joyful! Seriously, you complain that you don’t get matches with the DLC maps and you don’t want more people to have them so you can actually play them?
I bought the season pass so if you all are right then I’ll get it for free anyways, but I’d rather still have it be free so more players can return. It would be a nice pr move from 343 to say, “We know we made mistakes. Let us make it up to you.”

I didn’t leave Halo because the skins and stances weren’t awesome enough. This is just me, but I’m not going to pay another $10 on something that doesn’t effect how the game plays or on new all these that should have came with the original content of the game.

Pretty sure that free content wouldn’t bring back that many players, if any at all. Especially with GTA 5 around the corner on September 17.

Early access, do you know how the WGMP works? It’s just like a pre-order of the DLC maps. We still have to wait for them just like anyone else.
Hey I’m all up for people getting DLC free, we’ll have a better matchmaking experience. If I knew about that, then I would’ve just waited. $34.99 isn’t cheap. If anything, give me my money back or something worth that much.

Because they deserve to paid for their hard work and the community in general doesn’t deserve free DLC

You want to get money back for paying for DLC that was released for free months later? Would you prefer for 343 to wait a few years for your feelings to not be hurt as much?
Honestly, let them make it free. You should’ve waited, that’s your fault, don’t make bad decisions next time. How do you think I feel about the Reach DLC? Those maps were awesome, but I never got to play them in regular MM since people didn’t buy them. They weren’t free so everyone lost out. This has happened before with Halo Wars Legendary edition, those people got Mythic early, everyone else could get it later.
Seriously do we need to keep arguing about this? MS can do whatever they want, you’re not going to get money back.

People getting it for free has no difference to them buying it for the producer.
People will buy it because they want the content. Should halo 4 just be free then.

Does that mean nobody should ever see your hard work? I’d give it away so my work wouldn’t go to waste. Then again, I’m not hard up for money.
