It seems to have cool content with the pit remake and old armor as well as new ones, but the thing is, it comes in late august. By that time, most people will have gone to school/college or are at least getting ready.
And to play dlc, everyone in the lobby needs to have it. Some people have been complaining about the lack of playtime with dlc from the season pass, because of how little people play the game anymore. Won’t this particular dlc be played even less, since it only has two maps and people will be leaving by the end of the summer, which is when the dlc is released?

I’m glad the DLC comes out in late August. That means less little kids will be on, and more of the pros (lol). However, I agree that the new maps will hardly be played. I mean, our current map packs rarely even show up…
In case you haven’t noticed most of the DLC so far has been pointless because we hardly ever get to play it. 343/MS don’t care because they know some people will still buy it.

I’m sure that 343 cares and they have plans to fix it for this game and/or all future titles.

As if the school schedule of another country is really that important.
To some small degree, it’s true. For some such as myself, this DLC will breathe some new life into the game. The new weapon skins and the armor are some of the things I’ve been waiting a long time for, especially the ODST armor. But these are the things that matter far less in the long run, because it’s the maps that make or break the game.
So… Will it matter?
My friends stopped playing this game a couple months after it came out, and never so much as bothered with the DLC because they decided it wasn’t exactly a great game to begin with. Not terrible, just… Not worth the extra cash, either. They look forward to the same things I do, but they won’t be going any further with it.
Fact of the matter is, no, it won’t matter. People who buy DLC for this game will continue to buy the DLC. Likewise, people who do not buy DLC will continue to do so.
A few of the people I know may have some small interest revived because of the armor, but it’ll be short-lived.
The fact of the matter is, it seems like the DLC for this game doesn’t make an appearance very often, and as such, it will continue to appear very little.
It’s a shame. It’s not a bad game, and this is pretty decent DLC for eight hundred points. It’s just too bad that so many people have already turned their back on the game anyway.

That depends where you live in Europe.
I live in Finland and I have 1-2 weeks left of vacation.
I’m personally kind of bummed about the date because that’s the exact day I have to move back to school. So I’ll be spending that entire day and the rest of the week getting moved in, finding all my classes, getting textbooks, etc. If it came out like a week earlier I’d be really happy.

As if general culture and not being self-centered culturally wasn’t important.
Halo 4 was released in November.
While I don’t think it’s the end of the world, it IS sort of a personal annoyance of mine. Why do Halo games ALWAYS release stuff right as class starts up again, or in the midst of the semester?
Won’t stop me from trying it, but I’ll have more important things to worry about, so it’ll be on the backburner.

I live in the US, and I’m currently in Summer Vacation. I will also be buying the Champions Bundle.
