"Champions DLC doesn't work in Spartan Ops?"

I played galileo base in SpOps, and something incredible happened.
I was wearing Mark VI mostly, with warrior shoulders and Mark V forearms.
While playing, I noticed that nothing about my armor was changing. That’s good.
But the kicker. I took a hunter to the face, and as my body flew through the air, I saw I was wearing a Mark V helmet.
Nothing else changed. My Mark V forearms stayed, no glitching out or anything.

Really??? Has this happened to anyone else!???

Am not able to check it myself atm

Oh please be fixed; I will so make a thread stating how wrong i was and apoligize to 343i.

Question: could it have been fixed without realizing it? I mean wouldn’t you have had to install a TU for any changes?

I’ll test it out right now.

Edit: Didn’t work on Sniper Alley. Not loadouts or armor.

Edit 2: Didn’t work on Galileo Base either. So what happened to the previous poster was a weird glitch, or- no offense to the guy, but this is most likely- he was mistaken in what armor configurations he had/ what he saw.

Tested on my game too: nothing has changed.

SPOPS still not accpeting Champ Bundle armor :frowning:

Tested mine as well just before and nothing…
I have still yet to complete Spartan Ops with my brother and our friends due to the fact that they refuse to play any further on Legendary till this is fixed.

If they have no plans to implement Champs into SO, than they really need to fix the Marketplace description to reflect that. As of right now, it makes no such mention.

So either they are working to fix it so the description is accurate, and are being mum for some weird reason. Or… they don’t care.

I’ll vote for “don’t care” - they have the money for the DLC, they no longer bother communicating with us players on the forums and nothing to the bulletin this week even hints there is an issue or that they care if it’s addressed.

Basically the DLC was built before H4 launched, they are following a scheduled script on what days it gets shoved out the door and 343 has moved on to other things.

Not so with Champion’s

I’d have to agree with this. I think if Champs was created prelaunch they’d have been able to intergrate it into SPOPS.

Regarding my post at the top of the page: I said I believe 343i CAN’T incorporate it into SPOPS, not they chose not to. I don’t believe the programmers are skilled enough to do it, not that it’s not possible. If they could, why risk all the bad PR from the lack of SPOPS inclusion when they already have taken a big hit on their rep from the many blunders of H4?

Seems to me they’re incompetent.

Personally I’m “abandoning ship” until they fix this, and i guarantee that if they don’t I’ll wait for Bungies “Destiny” to come out and do that then sell Halo 4.

They ruined their own game with their lack of communication with the players as well as not including the added features in all version and game-types without telling anyone that this would be so.

Bungie, i will wait for the with your majestic star ship to pick me up as i stand upon the dead wreckage that is Halo 4.

I was just about to say this. I’d rather this thread NOT get locked, thank you. Keep it Clean.

Where’s that little Superintendent emoticon from Halo 3:ODST when I need it…

To hell with Destiny, I’ll be playing Space Marine now. I really don’t know how you guys can come to think that Bungie will be the Sci-FPS’s saving grace since it’s their handling of co-op, multiplayer, and well…everything that set all the precedents and expectations that 343’s observing now (for example, that CO-OP support isn’t THAT important to the game).

EDIT: Tried it wearing full Mark V; didn’t work.

It bothers me that 343 has no plans to fix this issue.

We aren’t banning people just for speaking up. The fact that this thread is still around (and most of its posts are unedited) should demonstrate that well enough.

> 343i doesn’t care about their fan base, they care about numbers whether it be new or old players. They don’t care about Halo for the fans if they can sell to one and pull in another even at the loss of the original fan.

If they don’t care about the fanbase, then how do you explain the bugfixes? The weapon-tuning? Team Throwdown? Forge Island? The hiring of community members such as bs angel and Bravo? The regular spotlighting of community creations on the blog and in Halo Bulletins?

They don’t get any money from those activities, nor do they have any kind of legal or business obligation to do those things. Many games don’t get anything close to the post-launch support that Halo 4 has received. So can you explain why they would do all of this if they didn’t have any regard for their fanbase?

Source for this claim?

Explain it? Easiliy: damage control and minimal at best. Nothing more than a life-support effort to squeeze remaining divideneds from this title and have some ground to respond to claims they don’t care. One step forward when you’ve taken ten steps back isn’t progress; it’s snail-paced recovery and unlikely to produce real results as the dwindling multi-player pool confirms.

And if you’re going to laud them for their base efforts you’re not only biased you’re delusional.

Bravo? Oh you mean asking for MLG advice AFTER the game was launched and they were crashing and burning? Bravos hiring was another PR stunt from a -Yoink!- bankrolled studio. And I guess removing the DRM restrictions on Xbone was because they realized the error of their ways, not because their preorder were abysmally low?

They didn’t need to hire Bravo if they had taken advantage of and listened to the multitude of Halo MLG vets who were advising them for FREE because they cared about this game. Instead of really listening to the MLG community and supporting their title from the begining, 343i tried to tell MLG what they should have, and only sought Bravo’s guidance after they had nearly alienated and been rejected by the entire MLG community.

So spotlighting OTHER peoples creations on Official Game Site is a give back? I saw it more as an easy way to pad Waypoint with content and make the appearance of a flourishing game? It’s nice that creators get some recognition, but seriously you think 343i doesn’t benefit from this and it’s purely altruistic? Wow, ok.

A blog and a weekly bulletin? Ok most middle-school kids I know of have blogs, and a WEEKLY bulletin from a mutli-billion dollar, corporate-owned studio is a sacrifice? Some volunteer mod could cobble one of those together weekly. C’mon, we’re not talking investagative journalism here.

And really BS Angel??? Really!? Lol ok I’m gonna plead the fifth on that one.

Another Halo Bulletin has passed us by. Still not even a mention of this issue or any of the other bugs that came with the Champions DLC. Not even a mention! I don’t get it…

Next week the Global Championship will be over and 343i will have no excuse to ignore this. There has to be some acknowledgement of this problem in next weeks Bulletin; if there isn’t, I’m going to put my head through the computer monitor.

I’m amazed only one person responded to my post on page 20 about bait advertising law.

343i really needs to address this issue before someone with the time and money decides to sue them. As much as I dissapprove of the current situation, the Halo 4 campaign and Spartan Ops - however limited in functionality - are brilliant. I’d hate to see a studio with so much untapped potential get sued.

Some of you may think -Yoink!- will step in with their lawyers, but I get the feeling they’d be more likely to disown 343i while retaining legal rights for Halo. By severing 343i, -Yoink!- could essentially escape liability and the expense of court, which costs millions of dollars even if they win.

That’s why I urge 343i to get on this ASAP, because they have broken the law, and it’s easily provable. For your own sake, 343i, get your act together!

Probably a sense of futility in trying to win a legal argument against a corporate giant.

It was a good post IMO and interesting reading, but even if the legal definitions do apply to this instance, what then? We make another thread about their shoddy business practices and demand recourse while we continue to be stone-walled?

If you’ve paid, 343i has won this round; the end. All you can really do is deny them a repeat victory, and I would think how to do that is obvious.

The truth is the gamers have everything to lose: if we continue to purchase content like Champs we’re out money for an overall inferior product; if we don’t buy we lose Halo. 343i is -Yoink!- backed, and even if support for Halo completely disappeared, -Yoink!- writes it off, and focuses on another lucrative venture.
