"Champions DLC doesn't work in Spartan Ops?"

To add to my previous post, if any of this was ever done and done properly I would happily give 343i even more of my money.

> Maybe campaign and SpOps players are a minority purely because of the lack of post release support. At launch I remember numbers of players being in the thousands for each available SpOps mission, now there are a lot less. If us co-op players were given as much attention as wargames players these numbers would return guaranteed. Fix the champions dlc so we can use our armour, add in options to increase replayability such as skulls and theatre. They could even do a season 2 despite Requiem being destroyed, how many other S4 fire teams do we hear mentioned other than Majestic and Crimson? Why not give us a story based on what another fire team may have been up to? They could add new missions, new maps and new achievements. It’s only the same kind of support the competitive mm guys have been given for years.

You nailed it, perfectly

One name blasts that statement out of the water: Bethesda

Updates, not fixing armour lock for example

I was fairly annoyed they wouldn’t bother to fix a broken feature, and I hardly played any MP past 3

Oh you know, only the creators of incredibly popular games like Mass Effect and Star Wars KoTor

Exactly. The whole point of DLC is to keep the game fresh. If you provide DLC for only one aspect of the game, obviously the other aspects will lose their freshness and then their supporters.

As for the outright removal of Theater Mode for Campaign and Co-op like Halo 3 and Reach made available, that alone was a huge failing. If you ever take the time to look at my file share albums (Halo Reach, Halo 3/ODST) you’ll see a whole lot of silly and outright great pics that are almost entirely campaign or firefight. There have been so many awesome missed screenshots and videos in Spartan Ops that I could cry. I’m not saying I expect 343i to add Theater Mode, since that IS a glitch fest waiting to happen at this point.

Another reason War Games receives so many more players is due to the achievement hunters being given loads of achievements in War Games, but not Spartan Ops. If Spartan Ops had 25-50 point achievements for say every commendation mastered, or clearing missions under a time limit in score-attack-like fashion, War Games would be more like Isolated Skirmishes Games. A ghost town. All quiet on the Western front. Etc.

343i also released a viDoc about how eager they are to pioneer episode gaming, a concept never really done before. It seems like they gave up on Spartan Ops too quickly. I’d pay $10-$20 per season, but apparently there’s “no market for co-op” anymore, or so they’d have you believe. Just one more nail in the coffin.

This Champions DLC was about to rekindle my love for Halo 4, but instead 343i sold me a faulty product. They could fix this issue within one business week if they actually cared about their customers.

Edit:
If the armor didn’t work for War Games instead of Spartan Ops, 343i would have fixed it by now. Like flies to stink.

No disrespect to anyone but I feel we’re beginning to drift off topic here.

HULK NO GET GOOD DLC!!! HULK MAD AT 343!!! HULK SMASH!!!

There, Solid1000, we’re back on topic.

lol finally someone really gets how I feel about this. I hadn’t seen your previous post when I mentioned going off topic so apologies.
And I completely agree, can you imagine if this content didn’t work in wargames?

I will admit that this hole situation has been disappointing, my brother and I plus our friends were excited about finely finishing Spartan Ops with our new bad -Yoink- looking Spartans, its a major factor in why I bought the DLC in the first place.

While I love war games and enjoy it to the fullest extent I prefer to play the game for its story and the ability to share it with my friends, specially by playing Spartan Ops.

I loved Halo 4, when I play a Halo game I don’t play it with the expectation that it will be better then the last, I play it expecting it to be an all new game to continue my gaming experience with a new chapter of the series, one that isn’t like the others before it, only complaint is that I wish we could have had an actual final boss fight with the Didact, that would have been nice, but over all not essential.

Hopefully there will be a fix for this sooner or later, fingers crossed.

Personally me and my group of friends tend to mostly do spartan ops simply because we enjoy fighting none human combatants,as well as human players ,and when we heard of the Champions bundle originally ,we couldnt wait.Though we enjoy it in the war games ,we still miss the factor of our loadouts, armors and such things that give us more definition of being ,well us ,while we do spartan ops.I personally am happy with the Bundle ,but if 343 doesnt fix the issues and or just make sure their DLC isnt faulty in the future, they may receive less of my hard earned money. That is all.

Well. I doubt we’ll get answers form the devs today or tomorrow. I guess we’ll have to wait until the next Halo Bulletin comes out. Here’s hoping that they don’t ignore it and just gloss over the subject.

They nerfed AL with a TU. You must have missed it.

I think many people will agree with me when I say we arent mad because 343 didnt have the armors/ weapon skins work in Spartan Ops (I dont know why people would think it would work in Campaign) but rather the fact 343 seems not to care. They have said NOTHING about whether they are gonna fix it or not. If they decide not to, ok, i will be ticked, but at least I will know not to expect a fix. If they cant fix it, ok, tell us.
