champions bundle maps dont work

I recently purchased halo 4s newest DLC known as the champions bundle. Upon downloading I went to my Spartan and took a look at all the awesome New armor and weapons. I customized my character with some new stuff and proceeded to select the champions DLC matchmaking option. I found enough players to start a game and it took us to voting. All 3 pictures for the maps were missing which didn’t strike me as a problem just a loading error. The map was than selected and began to load. I was than rerouted to the main menu. So I tried again and again and again and the same problem continued to occur. I tried different matchmaking options to see if it was a connection problem but they all worked. So I went into forge to look at the New maps and upon selecting them I was severely disappointed. Neither map would load and at the bottom of the screen it suggested I was missing DLC. So I downloaded it again. No fix. I looked in my downloads and the most recent item there was the bullseye pack which I never downloaded to begin with, I downloaded the champions bundle. If any one knows how to fix this please help because I am severely unsatisfied with my purchase.

I have exactly the same problem as you!!!

I even went so far that I bought the Bullseye Pack also just to be sure to get it to work.

But NOOO!! Still gets kicked out.

Everything else works perfectly, it’s just Vertigo and Pitfall not working and I be kicked out. :frowning:

Have never had any problems with the xbox, and I have played since 2001. So it feels a little bit bad that you pay lots of money to Live, and various Map-packs and it will not work.

P.S. In my case, I bought twice for the same product, and it still not working! D.S.

That’s pretty messed up dude. I hope an admin sees this. Maybe you can call 1 800 4 my Xbox to get your money back for buying the bullseye pack?

yes you can get a refund but only once a year…i am at the point now where i do want a refund but i thought id check the forums first to see if there were any solutions yet. I have found none to this very problem

It’s been over two weeks since I asked for help from 343i and other forums.
(Here on Halo-waypoint, 343industries.org and xbox.com. Has also sent a memo to BS-angel)
Without result!!!

Since 343i does not seem to care about us players having problems with Halo 4, I will from now on never ever pay to download (DLC) content anymore!
I will also ask for my money back for the Champion pack!
And I might even go so far as to stop playing Halo 4 altogether, in pure protest for poor support!

No wonder Halo 4 drops players daily (to CoD), and now maybe I, who have played Halo since the beginning of Halo 1. This was the last straw for me!!

Thank for the word.!

Hey Bird Nerd,

Is the crash issue still persisting? And is it only occurring with Champion’s Bundle maps?

And just to check you’ve already gone through and ensured no yellow “!” files, yes?

The problem is indeed still persisting and I have checked several times that it is in fact exclusively Pitfall and Vertigo that don’t work. I’m not 100% sure what yellow “!” Files you speak of but I do know that on the bottom of my screen when loading the maps there is a yellow triangle with a yellow “!” Point in it followed by “players failed to load content. A player may be missing downloadable content.” Does that make them yellow “!” Files and if so what can be done to fix this problem?

P.S. sorry for the late response but I had given up hope that help would find me on this thread so I stopped checking it regularly.

My apologies I did not mean to post several times.

I’ve had the same problem as you ever since champion pack came out. When I did not get help anywhere I became frustrated and angry. So after months of searching and swearing, I think I solved it! (for me anyway)

Try this:
Go to settings , system, storage and hard drive. then go the folder games and apps, find Halo 4 and go in there to remove everything related to Halo 4.
I took away :
Bullseye Pack ( downloaded items)
War Games ( downloaded items)
Spartan Ops Season 1.0 and 1.5 ( downloaded items)
Halo 4 Title Update (update)
Forge Island ( downloaded items)
All, Halo 4 data ( saved games)

Then go back to the HDD menu , and enter to Profiles . remove your profile.

Go back to the HDD menu , and go to the System Items .
remove everything that is there :
Content Cache System ( Item )
The Marketplace - system data (system Item )
remove everything and everyone !

Now go back to Storage Devices, where you select the yellow Y button ( device options ) from the hard drive. not from your Cloud !
Now you need to Clear System Cache , 3 times in a row .
THAT’S ALL !

Download your profile again and run Halo 4. And download everything it asks for when needed. Then last of all download your Bullseye -Pack or Champion Pack again , so it should work . It solved my problem anyway hope it does for you too.

I think doing that would irritate everyone else that plays the Xbox in my household. I’m glad you figured out your problem but I don’t think this solution is for me, thanks anyway for your post.

This is extremely aggravating not knowing what’s wrong I’m going to try x vs y’s suggestion. A whole lot of work! Extremely frustrating but I have no other choice. I just wanna play with my friends! Between this and halo 5’s banhammer I don’t think I will every purchase another 343 game. You can’t contact them or get the help you need.

Not sure why you bumped a 3 year old topic. If you have issues with map packs in Halo 4 you can use the Halo 4 Support forums to ask your question. Queries about matchmaking bans can be made in the pinned thread in halo 5 support: Official Halo 5 “Why was I banned?” thread
