Challenges still not working correctly after almost a year

I got a challenge which I have to kill 5 player with the Disruptor. I am at 8 kill count and only 4/5. This happen EVERY single time I have challenges about killing players with a specific weapon, I have to kill more then the real count. Can anyone explain to me the real reason why does this game not getting patched more quickly? This ain’t an indie game, this is Halo. I am ashamed to tell people I play Halo nowadays, with all the backlash on Halo Infinite, I look like a freakin clown and I feel like one, when I tell people I’ve been playing this mess since day one. I feel like I invested too much time in the game to quit now… but deep within, I’d be happy if they would end up calling it a quit. ‘‘Sorry guys, we failed, time to let the chief rest in peace, gotta buy more new game companies because our studios are incapable of making good games like they used to’’. That is how I feel about this whole situation. People are complaining about the lack of content or the pricey cosmetic… but hell I couldn’t care less about it, I want a fonctionning game first, content can come later. My Xbox is filled with game clip from Halo Infinite showing bugs, like yesterday, I started a game and I couldn’t move, but the bottom half of my spartan would move around, so I was looking at my pants running and jumping in front of the camera; sure, had a laugh, but this is just to tell you that this game is pestered with bugs. I never hated a game that much while wanting to love it that much, but I can’t pretend anymore that this game is good and will be better in the future, I feel like nothing is being done. Is it a lack of money budget? A lack of employees? A lack of professionalism? A lack of direction? A lack of work ethic? Can’t continue to blame everything on Covid…

I’ve found putting down the controller, doing a 180 and coming back like a couple of hours later fixes things.
I should also point out that I have missed 2 weekly challenge unlocks that I wanted because of this mentality, and I honestly do not give a -Yoink!- about them.

I have found out if a spartan takes damage from something else rather just just straight damage from the disruptor then it won’t count. Spartan has to take full damage from the weapon to count

There’s a dot damage that gets applied if hitting the target like three times I believe. It may not count if that dot is what kills the target. Which it should since it’s still caused by the disruptor…

I just wish they would get rid of the challenges that are not fun or lead to a negative impact on gameplay.

i think the issue for this guy isn’t the challenge not being fun, it’s that the game is bugged in some ways that may prevent them from completing challenges.

Yeah, that’s also a big issue. The whole system needs fixing and an overhaul either way.

I had the most fun playing Halo this weekend once I completed the weekly.

Yeah… it should look at the weapon icon that appears in the feed when the kill is done; if it shows the Disruptor, then no matter what, it should count as a Disruptor kill.

That is literally subjective, maybe having easier ways to buy challenge swaps, like 10 swaps for 200 credits could solve this perceived issue?

I honestly wouldn’t mind the challenges as is if the weeklies stayed week to week and we just got more challenges every week like how Fortnite and Destiny 2 do it.

I would suggest that if you’re still facing similar challenges or issues to reset your device and reload the game. Getting specific weapon kills can definitely be a challenging process to complete.
