Challenges Should Only Promote Winning!

The challenge should not be “Stop an enemy killing spree”.
It should be “Get a killing spree”.

The former promotes getting killed and dying. Therefore losing.
The latter would promote killing and therefor winning.

343 should remove any challenge that promotes losing.

While I agree that it should not encourage poor play, I disagree that it should require a certain skill level. They should be accessible to players of all skills.

disagree big time with the idea.

if you need to stop a enemy killing spree is not something easy to do.

why only get winning challenges when there are players that are not that good and still wane play it since there like it if there are good or bad.
winning or losing.
to get a killing spree is not easy for a lot off people to get
and focus only on that is more telling only players that have good skill are welcome and others not.

I agree 100%.

The challenges should promote teamwork and winning, not playing for individual gains.

I would love to see challenges for hold the oddball for 1 minute , or pull 3 enemy flags, get 5 mark assists, kill an enemy marked by a teammate 3 times, DEFEND your stronghold 3 times, get 3 kills DEFENDING strongholds, drop a power weapon for a teammate.

Basically 343 need to have challenges that won’t result in teammates playing for kills instead of objectives, or dying to the enemy team to GIVE them a killing spree so that they might get a killjoy lol  , it would help lower the toxicity and might even promote team work and a winning mentality!

These changes along with gearing objective related points bonus to CSR rank would help a lot imo!

and in this case, the skill is losing until the enemy gets a spree

and who tells you get that kill the next time when you give him free kills to get a killing spree?

to get a killing spree is also not a easy job to do so if you give only that type challenges then a lot off people leave the game faster and then its also not good for the game so you need to give the people that are not that good also chance’s to complete challenges and make then sometime’s easy to make sure any type player can compleet it.
its the same thing to give only challenges for one type playlist only and give the other playlist’s notting.

Literally logged into waypoint for the first time in years just to complain about this, the killjoy ultimate. Worst weekly ever, basically chance based and playing well makes it harder??? total BS. Im ok with it being skill based, I can assess my skill and decide if i can or can learn to do it… but to see it, hope the enemy is good enough, then hope that im the one on my team that gets the kill, and to top it off, SPAWNIGN WITH RANDOM WEAPONS. total BS. Fed the enemy last game until i was confident, then spawned with crap up against their super weapons

It’s difficult to reply to this because it’s so asinine. A challenge is just that… a challenge. It’s supposed to be difficult. But it should be difficult based on skill not the lack of it.

I played for hours last night trying to get the Ultimate Challenge completed. ‘Stop enemy killing spree’ x3. It was just not happening because I was killing people too much. In order to actually complete the challenge I literally ran to the middle of the map and let the enemy kill me over and over and over… then I went and killed them. We lost the game, but I got the challenge completed.

Gimme a break, it’s a challenge. It should be difficult to achieve. But in an online multiplayer game, it should never promote losing.

so its your problem you are to good more in that match that you most feed then kills to get the killjoy’s more so that there are getting killing spree’s.
that means the enemy was not that good you are against it.

challenges need to have a belange and that means that sometime’s you need to do something like that if you are to good.

it not means that the challenge’s only most be focust on winning.
i not know if you are a pro player or not but if you are a pro player then you need to deal with it since not all people are that good.
and the multiplayer is not only for pro players its also for players that are not good at playing.
so thats why there need to belance it for the players that are also not good.

if the challenges was to get 3 killing spree’s then the players that are not good get it almost never compleet do you think its fair for then if there was only that type challenges where only pro players can compleet it and others not.
the multiplayer is not for pro players only its also for the players that are not good so the pro players need to deal with this type challenge’s and if this type challenges helps more the not good players then its fair more.

and so far i see more you are one off the people that care more about there K/D and W/L stats more then having fun in the game.

again… asinine. I’m not a pro.

so far i have read on other threads is that challenge a week challenge so there is no problems to take a few day’s to compleet it.
do you wane make the weekly challenge that easy that you can compleet it easy in less then 2 day’s.

if there chance it to get 3 killing spree’s then there going to complain its to hard to compleet that challenge more.
so in the end you always have people complain about it.

My god why is it so hard for you to understand?
The challenge is to STOP an enemy killing spree. That is the exact opposite of a skill based challenge. That is relying on the enemy to have the skill enough to earn a killing spree. And then you have to, by chance, be the one to kill him/her.
A challenge should be a challenge based on player skill. If it’s hard, good. It’s a challenge. If it’s easy, ok, fine. But the current ‘challenge’ is not based on any sort of control by the person attempting to complete the challenge. It’s entirely in the hands of the enemy. The only way to control how quickly you achieve the challenge is to assist the enemy.

I bet you got a ton of participation trophies as a kid, and not a single earned award.
