I would love to see challenges in the style of Halo Reach and Halo 4 that would give us XP or RP. One example of a challenge could be to get 10 headshot kills in a single game and would give 500 RP on completion. I think it would be a great idea because there is tons and tons of reqs and we dont get much req points after completing a game and it would keep the players more engage to play on a daily basis. I like the fact that they implemeted the daily wins but i feel like they are not worthwhile… What are your thoughts on this?
Absolutely. Love to get extra XP and RP for sure. It adds another thing to focus on.
I enjoyed challenges. Hope they bring them back.
They really should bring back the things that entice players to continue to play. This being one of them.

Yeah they were nice! Do you remember the coop campaign challenges from reach on legendary with skulls? Those were real challenges haha!

I don’t think it requires a lot of man hours to do also!
This is a must. Maybe opening REQ packs won’t be so boring after you completed a 30,000 REQ point monthly challenge and have plenty more to look forward to. It might even make the Campaign not useless.
Definitely needs something like this. The beauty of the challenges in Reach was that it promoted different styles of play. It worked well because there was actually a lot of ways to play the game, and the challenges incetivised people taking advantage of every aspect of the game. Challenges like “kill 2000 elites in firefight matchmaking in the next week” promoted firefight. Then mixed with daily challenges like “kill 10 grunts with assassinations in campaign on heroic or harder” promoted replaying the campaign. Reach has such good replayability. I would argue that Halo 5 is missing quite a lot of replayability. For instance, what good are req cards during the later years of Halo 5’s life when hardly anyone is playing warzone? What good is no split screen when someone wants a friend to join in couch co-op laso campaign? What good is having no offline features for forge when the Xbox one is no longer supported by Microsoft’s dedicated servers? Halo 5 needs daily challenges that promote the different ways one can play. Otherwise everyone is stuck playing in the same exact mode in the same exact way with little to no variety. Everything becomes old, but challenges are a way of making the old feel new again.

Could not have said any better, up, up!!!
Call me cynical but I reckon they’re not included as it would take away from that sweet micro transaction money they rake in from all the req packs.
Good idea and its will be fun but oh well who know when they bring back or not!

It’s actually quite possible from a company point of view! The fact is, if they want Halo to be acclaimed like it once was, they need to implement what the players want and get the lost fans back! And for Halo 6 they NEED SPLITSCREEN they just can’t ignore the huge backlash they got. I like 343 but they made big mistakes in some of their choices.
The daily wins is cool and all but yes give me something more to work towards so I don’t get bored so fast
I wonder if there are stats showing a drop on req sales, I think in time challenges “might come”, but with so many amazing thongs done right in reach and the total lack thereof in halo 5 I wouldn’t hold my breath. Reach had a great ui that you could customize your Spartan easily. Not scroll though hundreds of options. It had the ability to mute one person pre game as well as scroll through everyone and look at their armor. Recent players is kinda lame. Had theability to stay connected so that if you wanted you could play with thesame group of people (promoted friendship and team building) not ditch everyone so that the players are all new. More playlists’ … Daily challenges weekly and monthly, all awesomefeatures, and 100% better stats at the end of each game.

Absolutely implement, but there’s one problem. In reach there was a ton of stuff to get and some of it was way expensive. Many people at this point in the game have finished their reqs already and even if they hadn’t finished the unlocks would be exhausted way too quickly with added income from dailies and weeklies. I’m all for it, but they better come out with some damn expensive stuff for us to spend our req points on…

I don’t entirely disagree with Daily Challenges as long as they don’t negatively affect gameplay. Example: I don’t use the AR regularly, mainly because I think the pistol is not only practical but more versatile. Now, when you add in Weapon or Equipment Challenges it influences players like myself to use other weapons that could impact the result of the game. I don’t want to lose the game because my teammates rushed with an AR just in an attempt to gain XP. I would stand more behind daily challenges if they were more about Killstreaks, Mulitkills or Headshots. Something that each player can do without possibly sacrificing their normal play/better judgement.

Are you are thinking of buying some sort of pack that gives out an exclusive REQ like an assassination or skin but with a really high ammount of RP to buy it?
I would love for challenges to be implemented, but if it cuts into their profits I doubt it’s going to happen.
I’m all for bringing back daily and weekly challenges, I think they should add challenges for the campaign as well so that more people will actually play, Halo has turned into a more online based game like Call of Duty, Halo always had great campaigns but Halo 5’s was meh
I miss challenges so much. They made me want to play playlists that I wouldn’t normally play (because the challenge would be easier there), and just adds to the longevity of the game. I suppose it may make REQ packs a thing of the past if they handed out REQ points for challenges, because people would get them faster (and in turn get armor faster to complete their armory), and 343i probably would want to avoid that.
But I’m all for them. Even if they just hand out experience points.
