This isnt something that im setting you to really, rather, a challenge you should set to yourselves. Instead of using the dmr, which im VERY sure you’ve mastered it already, try using another weapon, it doesnt even have to be a precision weapon.
I personally love the storm rifle, but that’s just me. Im being very serious, just challenge yourselves to use another gun that you possibly haven’t even picked up yet.
Hey, I said the same thing about Halo: Reach, even Halo: CE. The response I got was being called some scrublord n00b who doesn’t understand Halo.
Well this game has loadouts with a good variety of weaponry, so people have no excuses now
This is gonna be great. Seeing people fail to my BR and AR without their precious DMR to challenge me is gonna be SOOOOOO fun. >:D

I’ve already mastered the pistol, BR, and DMR ._. what if I just prefer the feel of the DMR over the BR? It seems steadier and less frantic to me; it really helps me to focus on where I’m shooting, whereas the BR’s random spread makes me feel kind of frantic; it hurts my gameplay a bit

I have several load-outs that include DMR, BR, AR, LR, Suppressor and Magnum.
On the other hand, I don’t use the BS or any other weapon. Sure, I used the BS on launch day, got two kills and haven’t used it since. I have tried the other weapons available in our load-outs but,simply don’t like them.

Depends on where you’re trying them, Regicide/ FFA are the best places to do so.
I promise you, I thought the Suppresor/ Storm Rifle were bad, but then I played regicide and was simply AMAZED.
I use them all, but never when it will put me at a disadvantage.

Oh I’ve tried my fair share; I wasn’t fond of the Carbine, and I went Light Rifle for a bit, but the LR seemed to run out of ammo too quickly, and I was fairly clumsy with it xD Just trying to make the point that not everyone uses the DMR because it’s powerful

I find changing my “perks” helps too, each weapon requires a different one and when you find it you’ll have a great sense of self satisfaction like you’ve actually done a good job 
But the sad thing is that so many people use the dmr because its OP
I used to be a DMR freak, but that’s because I had little experience with the BR in Halo 3, and my Halo career pretty much began towards the end of Reach. However, with Halo 4, I’ve slowly moved away from the DMR and more towards my personal style of play: long range engagements. The Light Rifle best fits my style, and is eventually going to be my most-used weapon in Halo 4.
The dmr in my opinion only seems to be a good starting weapon, one that you only use to get the hang of the game, thats how i started, but quickly moved away.

I play with both DMR, BR, Light Rifle and even carbine. Anything against the DMR is not a problem for me whatsoever. People complain on here about the little things like this. And honestly, why is this even considered a problem. Weapons are designed based on player preferences, and what they stay true to. If anything, it’s the player’s problem for not finding any solution to play around that problem. Nerfing the DMR or buffing the BR won’t solve anything. It would just cause more problems in the future.
The “Solution” of which you speak, is to use the DMR as well, bringing balance to this game should have been their first priority. Nerfing the gun to make it equal with the others isnt a bad thing, 1 weapon shouldn’t rule everything else if you can have the option to spawn with different weapons.
