Challenge System Rework

So, currently as how the Challenge system is made up; we all agree that it pretty much sucks.

You have 5 Challenges active at a time that change around and are arbitrary needs that need to be fulfilled. However, most of the time you don’t get to actually perform the challenge easily.
“Earn 10 kills with a Bulldog”
*proceeds to go into a match where the map doesn’t spawn a Bulldog
“Win 3 matches of Oddball”
*Quick Play gives me 4 matches of CTF in a row and 2 matches of Slayer before finally giving me an Oddball match

How about instead, we get a random challenge as we load into the match?
During the part of the game where the match shows off your Spartans, it also displays a challenge that you were given randomly that fits in with the mode/map/arsenal available in the match?

So I load in a CTF match and get a challenge to carry and capture the Flag at least once in the match?
I load in a Team Slayer match and get a challenge to earn kills with the Commando Rifle?
I load into Oddball and get a challenge to carry the ball for 50 seconds out of both of the rounds?
I load into BTB and I have to capture and secure 3 Lifeseeds in a single round?
I load into Free-For-All Slayer and I have to get 20 Kills?

You will still have regular challenges of course as we have them, BUT now you are guaranteed to be able to have the opportunity to complete a challenge every game other than just “Win a match” 6th challenge that doesn’t really do much.

This way the standard 5 challenges we have just give us a bonus personal objective to complete.
I have to win a match of Oddball and when I load into Oddball I also have a challenge to skull-smash 3 players? Time to make that Oddball match a bit interesting.
I have to earn 20 Assists AND I get a challenge to protect the Flag Carrier in a CTF game?

Nothing against the suggestion whatsoever but again, a Match Composer would sort challenges and more.

True.
BUT this would also mix up the gameplay a little bit I suppose. You load into a match and each of your teammates have challenges that were given for the match, team-based matches being objective based or FFA challenges that just encourage you to dominate the match.

Plus, like I said, this will gurantee that you can at least attempt to clear a challenge per match instead of just going through quick-play until they FINALLY allow us to pick CTF, Oddball, and others.

Yeah I see the pros, my idea for Match Composer would be all the objectives have their own separate tick/check box for social so you can choose CTF or oddball etc individually.

Only ranked arena would be a random objective/slayer.

That way challenges would be guaranteed to be achievable. (Except say Bulldog kills and it only has a Heatwave on the map but I’d go Fiesta for that).

Again, I would still prefer your suggestion than what we have now but I feel Match Composer is the blanket fix for so many things for this game.

Interesting idea, which has the mindset of user friendliness and user satisfaction. To go even further, there could be an algorithm which is tracked during your games and identifies tendencies, like you have high percent likeliness of pulling a flag in a game or maybe you use a certain weapon a certain number of times typically… and this would make challenges more attainable and intuitive that doesn’t interfere with someone’s playstyle.
