Look, I get it we’re tied to the challenge system at this point. I’m not trying to suggest a complete rework but can we make it more reasonable for people that aren’t good at the game? I’ve been playing the game a ton but its getting harder and harder to get my friends to play the game so can we do two things with the challenge system?
A) Encourage people to just play the game not push for specific goals? Get X number of kills, Get X score in any game mode, Play X number of games, Get X amount of damage.
B) Add bonus progress to these challenges for people that are more familiar with the game and can jump between things more easily. Get X number of kills but double progress for AR kills, Get X score in any game mode but double progress for Team Slayer Matches, Play X number of games but double progress for wins, Get X amount of damage but double progress for damage from shock weapons.
I personally don’t mind the current challenge system but my friends group has dropped from 8+ people every Tuesday jumping on to 2-3 of us jumping on. Not for a lack of content but for a frustration in that they can’t play the game they want to play. Pushing challenges, the only way to really progress more than a snails pace, that don’t encourage normal play is keeping people away. Double the challenges if you need to. “Play 10 games” is much better than “Win a CTF match” as just finding a CTF match is a pain.
