The challenges have ridiculous objectives.
The challenges need live progression. I killed three enemies defending their zone, only to have my game crash and progress thrown out.
Challenges aren’t even that big of an issue. It’s the match making. We need our game modes to be separated. Leave ranked alone, that’s fine, but when I get a challenge that requires a specific game ode, I’m always quitting until I get that game mode.
I feel bad them. Having to pick up the slack and work harder to keep the game “fun”.
I finished season one in under 3 months without having to quit. Excluding the rare crash. I don’t get why people are having this much of an issue doing them.
Hell, you can still complete them afterwards too if they start a new season.
Quite honestly, I don’t care. I’m not going to waste time playing a match that yields no challenge progression. I know it’s selfish, but that’s how it is for me.
Wait till you get the set up you want, then you’re entire team decides to jump ship because it’s not what they need. Screwing you over on making any progress you needed for your challenge. =\
You have a point, but for individual players the game incentivizes quitting to get your preferred gametype.
In the end, time really is everything. I’d much rather have a ticking clock “Play for 5 hours in-game to earn …” Then I could play the only playlist that matters to me.
I struggled at first, but then found the easy way of getting it, I just played like 2 or 3 ranked games and got it no problem, had spent like few hours trying to get em in other game types
*Get rid of all weapon specific and objective challenges. This will make the players less frustrated and play the game (Game Mode) like it was intended, Last thing I need is for my team mate to throw the match to get 10 kills with a ravager. Also don’t tell me to win 3 odd ball matches when all I get is slayer.
*If they wanna do Mode Specific Challenges for upcoming game modes or existing ones that’s fine but stop forcing us to win! infinite is a sweat fest already. Just give us XP just for playing the mentioned game mode.
*Increase the cumulative score challenges It’ll give players more of an incentive to play more.
In summary weekly rewards are good but punishing your player base for it is not worth it.
I couldn’t agree more. These specific challenges are the same mistake Bungie made with Destiny 2, having quests that made players play a certain way that negatively impacted others. This is the same case with Halo Infinite’s challenges.
Like having to kill a flag carrier or return the flag for a challenge. What? I have to actively allow the enemy to grab the flag? That’s not how I want to play.
Weapons are not as bad as you can play fiesta if they ask for something weird.
Game modes need to be limited to the ones you can select. CTF has a super low probability and doing those challenges makes people very frustrated.
If you have to win but you can select the game mode it’s a whole different story. You can play a couple of matches untill you get your win, but you do not have to pray to RNJesus to get a game mode that has a super low probability assuming equal chances.
