Challenge system got me banned

Good luck. The processing time on a report is as long as the development time of the game itself.

Or, circumvent those punishments by being an even BIGGER nuisance to your team. More.prpof the ban is just generally bad for everyone, not just quitters. Ya, 343 could make a rule saying anyone that isn’t a toad is immediately banned and ban every player in the game, but that would also be stupid.

That is EXACTLY why I am posting about it, hahaha! Sick of AFK teammates that easily know how to avoid the AFK ban.

Ya, what actions are you going to take? Sending me a mean message I will laugh at? Or wasting your time reporting on MS’s horrible system that doesn’t work?

I’ve got a few outstanding reports.

I’m patient though.

Or read the room and don’t be a terrible teammate would be a good start.

But to each their own, I prefer to stay on the side that won’t get me banned from an experience I’m enjoying.

Report em then. I haven’t noticed this myself.

No no, I’m no good at trash talk and it only creates more problems anyway, but I’m patient enough to wait out a long report queue.

You did this to you. You wasted your swaps and waited until the last minute to complete. I complete the full challenges every week never by leaving games until I get the game mode I want and I’m still sitting on like 20 swap tokens. Never had an issue completing them all. You left 8 games in a row to compensate for your own mistakes and bad choices and got penalized. Deal with it.

So you are in favor of my suck ban being implemented, then? Players that go too negative ruin my game. Anyone more than -5 should get a 2 hour time out to train in the adademy.

You may be. But most are not. It’s honestly shocking at how slow and lack luster the response time can be. Bad players (and by that I mean cheaters, unsporting players, etc) run rampant for far too long in this game.

That, and making a new account literally takes half a minute.

Yeah. I reported a player who is playing on a new account. It seemed so pointless and cumbersome to even bother with reporting them. But I did anyway. They’re still playing the game no problem.

Not with the parameters you suggested.

The MMR should sort them out as it does now. There are going to be good and bad players, and good players having bad games. There’s a space for everyone in games like this, and the training grounds isn’t it.

If you suspect a player of intentionally griefing/throwing/sabotaging games you can always report them. I’ll throw my own support in for better in game report accessibility though.

But also it’s not wise to bring up locked topics.

This game NEEDS an in game report option. They have complicated such a simple process for no reason.

There was no reason for that topic to be locked. Kind of proves how these bans are inherently flawed.

I’m approaching a month to be honest.

I’m not saying everyone is as patient as I am, and would much rather prefer (and advocate for) an in game function to accomplish this.

Truth be told while it may be far more complicated to implement, I think a community driven investigatory system like Valve has for CSGO would be optimal in this situation to help alleviate some of the burden on 343’s plate they can’t seem to deal with in a timely manner.

Maybe, but if they pull anyone from the waypoint forums there will be a truckload of permabans handed out. :joy:

The concept was to target bad actors by rounding them up with bad gameplay that’s going to happen naturally. It’s a comically terrible and intrinsically elitist idea by context alone.

There are far better more specific ways to approach punishing gameplay sabotage, so I’m not going to comment any further on a locked topic.

Well to be fair, the bans aren’t handed out by the players but merely passed along with input to the party responsible for making official calls.

Players merely act as the jury rather than the judge.

So, because you might find an idea to be bad that warrants locking the topic so we can no longer discuss it?

If you knowingly build a city without garbage cans you shouldn’t be surprised if a lot of trash ends up on the ground.

A couple -very- orderly people might carry their trash home with them, ok. But why complain about people acting according to human nature? Most people usually go for the path of least resistance.

Just understand the city needs garbage cans, or maybe street sweepers. Useless to waste energy arguing that everyone should carry their trash home.

To accomplish that you’d probably need to mass-ban people and create a total police state - just to make ppl pocket their trash!

It would just make everyone miserable!

Quite often I get stuck with a bot replacement on my team long enough to mean there’s no way back so this excuse is poor

people take freaking video games way too seriously, it’s sad.

I’m confused why people are getting banned for leaving a Quickplay match… Aren’t open spots backfilled?
