Challenge suggestion

Instead of challenges that require winning 3 matches in a particular mode, what about Winning 3 OR simply playing 6? I sometimes find it difficult and frustrating to win 3 matches in certain playlists. It can become disproportionately time-consuming chasing those wins especially if it’s for playlists that don’t come up in rotation often like Oddball, Strongholds or CTF.

Until an actual progression system is implemented I think challenges should ask for the bare minimum such as getting an (x) amount of kills or playing a certain number of games

It’s very off-putting to load up the game and the only way to progress is get 25 back-smacks, forcing you to change how you play.

I hate those back-smack challenges with a vengeance

I’ve said this before, but as much as I got tired of the grind and the repetitiveness of the challenges, the way challenges are done in Destiny is a good starting point when designing a challenge/task/bounty reward system.

Unfortunately, as I’m writing this I am reminded that Halo Infinite’s reward system and challenge system to a certain extent relies on nudging people to buy swaps to get out of doing some really terrible challenges, and considering it is, by design, a tool to increase profit with a complete disregard to players having fun, even the act of trying to come up with an alternative system to make it better almost seems a waste of time.

I think if someone could present a new system and at the same time show increased profit, then maybe things would change. That being said, It would be better, and more fun if challenges could be chased in PVP and PVE campaigns completed as a team or solo, and at the same time making sure people aren’t pulled out of gameplay objectives to complete challenges.
