First, this is NOT a troll post, its a genuine doubt I have…
I’ve been playing Halo everyday since CE, been a fan of Halo story owning every book, comic, whatever exists…
~
Prior to Halo, I played (almost to exaustion) Age of Empires and Age of Mytology for years (then I got a XBOX XD ).
For my absolute shame, when I got Halo Wars, a couple years ago, I started playing it, but…somehow it didnt seemed “right” not having a mouse to drag and click a squad…and it was confusing watching those little warriors that I used to know as Romans, Turcs, Greeks or Norse…beeing called Spartans and marines.And Covies. And Flood.
The mind-f/%( was so big that I left the game till present day.
Now, with the rumours that are undergoing that SOF might be returning (even as part of the plot of Halo 5), I decided to give it a second chance.
Your part, as community, is simple.
Give one good reason to get back to it, and some tips for a noob. I dont want to go and play online, just the campaign in Normal will be just as good…
If all you want to do is play the campaign on normal you don’t need any advice. Normal campaign is laughably easy with. Mission 4 is the only mission that I find frustrating (on any difficulty) simply because I always neglect the transports and hate having to pay attention to them. As far as a reason to get back into it, you seem interested in the SOF story which if all you’re playing is campaign then you won’t find another reason.
By challenge me, I mean anyone telling me something like "Hey, what are U talking about? Halo Wars has the best cut scenes in Halo history with a background plot so deep and a gameplay so intense that I dare you to even remember that you used to have a mouse to play this kind of games.
Or something like this…
@Manatee:
Get back to it is not…hmmm…true…
Like I said, I started the game…years ago, and never returned. For me is like getting there the first time. And yes, I have no desire to fight anyone in Live, just discover the history.
(I have no Alzeimer, but I m 46 and selective memory is not my strong suit…)
But if you say that the campaign is easy (except Mission 4, I’ll keep an eye on that one), I’ll be ok. After all, I got through the rest of the halos in legendary, solo and co-op.
Thanks. The Spirit of Fire badge is now next to my XBOX remote. Today is the day.
