Challenge complete but not scored on Waypoint

I hate to be the bearer of bad news since I know you guys are busy fixing several other bugs since game launch; however I think I found yet another. To make things easier I figured I would make one topic to not only discuss my own issue involving completing challenges without gaining the points for them, but also so others can post their own issues in one location without creating a bunch of new topics.

Just moments ago I completed the “This Is Going To Hurt” challenge with 2hrs 10 min remaining of the challenge. Anyone familiar with it will know that it consists of completing any mission on Heroic or harder with the Famine, Tilt and Thunderstorm skulls turned on. So since I planned on once again completing the game, only this time on Heroic; I decided to start from the beginning. I made sure these skulls were activated, started with the Prologue then went through the Dawn mission. To my surprise when I completed the mission and checked Waypoint it showed that the challenge was not complete. Thinking that I might have mistakenly done something wrong, I checked the Waypoint game history, which confirmed I had all settings correct for this particular challenge.

Given that I cannot preview and record campaign history for upload in the theater, any admin will be able to check my Waypoint game history and confirm this. Thanks again for investigating this.

What happened in the middle lol? It looks like an hour passes by with no kills/deaths.

Just keep an eye on it, I don’t know 100% but there might be some sort of delay on processing campaign games.

Actually you are correct Furious. I paused my game, went out for a coffee; came back and continued without any game interruption. However in pausing the game, shouldn’t that also pause the game duration time? Or is it simply clocked from start to finish? Which ever the case may be, the challenge should still be recorded as complete, correct?

This challenge was supposed to be done with Mythic not Famine. 343 didn’t bother to fix the erroneous challenge description. I did this 4 times before unlocking it with the proper skull. I found an explanation buried in the forums.

That is really pathetic if that’s the case. Seriously, does 343 realize how many people play Halo who do not sign up for Waypoint? Having run my own website for a time, it’s not a real time burner to change a simple description.
