Just an observation from someone who was previously on the outside looking in, but after getting the chance to play for myself it seems my worries were valid. See: title.
I get that this is where the FPS scene seems to be heading, but that isn’t necessarily a good thing. Playing games around challenges and focusing on them rather than just the moment to moment gameplay feels a little bad. It’s the same way in Destiny, MCC, etc - the system where you got XP based on your match performance worked well pretty much the entirety of halo’s lifespan, I’m not sure why it was dropped

I second that. Doesn’t feel very much like Halo when everyone is trying to do their random challenges instead of playing the objective. The balance between modernizing and keeping it Halo isn’t there, so it feels like any generic FPS.
Concured. I don’t like spending 10 minutes playing, even worse for a loss, to get nothing for my time. X/X played matches to get 150 XP doesn’t feel good, just remove that challenge and make it 50/100 XP for loss/win

I don’t like how they’re all pvp based after the first few, really not liking that. Plus I get that it’s the preview and only has a limited amount, but all I have are the dailies(which are iffy on their own), and a final weekly. This is exactly what I feared when I heard about the new system, and unfortunately it’s just as bad as I thought it was gonna be.
