Certain affinity need to get over their obsession with killzones

I logged onto CEA. Downloaded pack. The first thing I do is visit breakneck. Now I don’t know about you, but I always likes to fly around the invisible wall at the top of the map, and around the big monument. But now there is 10 second kilzone INSIDE the map boundaries. :frowning:

Later I look for secret rooms. Of about ten I tried, only two worked, and one is required for an Easter egg. (The other one I am not going to disclose as it might be fixed.) Breakneck: You fell to your death, ditto, ditto, ditto. I put a Teleporter above breakneck. I am met with instant death. It’s the same on the defiant mp. Only two were found , yet on bungies maps lots of cool ones are there. At the very least you could just forge a kill barrier for matchmaking, and leave it for customs.

IN HALO 4 KEEP ALL SECRET ROOMS FREE. BLOCK THEM WITH A FORGE PIECE POST DEVELOPMENT, OR AT LEAST LEAVE THEM KILLZONELESS IN FORGE, WITH REMOVABLE KILL BARRIERS.

in reach and CEA ive noticed alot of un needed kill zones. some that don’t even make sense. i could understand if it broke the map in matchmaking but why ruin it for the forgers?

You should make a Poll about this.

The killzones are pretty much pointless and they ruin exploration.

I think the comparison between CA and Bungie is quite funny…especially since a handful of Bungie employees went off and created CA.

This is so true OP. The first thing I did was get in a banshee, grab a sniper and then fly up to the building with the slanted roof which I always used to camp on. I died.

Now some might argue that all camping spots should have a timer on them, but I would argue that the spot I died trying to camp from was a worse camping spot than the top of the high ridge on Sandtrap which took less effort to get too. That place worked well, and was actually fun to fight people up there as it made combat a bit different.

… So you’re upset that they developed a polished map without mistakes?

Those rooms you found in Bungie maps are not “secret rooms”. They are not there on purpose.

Certain Affinity has worked really hard to make sure that players play within the boundaries of the map, and every room that is meant to be accessed is accessible. They’re not going to purposely build rooms outside of the map for people to glitch into. If it’s not there for aesthetics or playability, it serves no purpose.

If you want secret rooms for you to move a forge object to get to, then look at maps like Battle Canyon. It has rooms behind each base and tunnels in the creek that are accessible by deleting forge objects. However, those spaces are also MEANT to be played in.

You would think that CA would’ve gotten some direction from 343 during the process. You don’t think they just made the maps and handed them over without receiving constant and consistent feedback during the process, right?

Bungie, 343, and Certain Affinity never seem to think about custom
Games. Ever. At all.

I. Just. Replied. To. This. Post.

killzones or the killus-zoneus are the bane of my life
