AWESOME! I’ve loved their past work on Halo games since they started work with Halo 2, this is a lovely and welcomed addition in my eyes!

Very much indeed I have a feeling multiplayer will be good

They have a reliable track record in regards to Halo, I’m all for it.

When Certain Affinity collab with Bungie/343i, it can only mean something awesome.

Great Best of luck to them then!

I had thought about this before and think I said here. I bet they’ve known since last September there’s no real way this game was going to come together. Plus I don’t think giving away the Halo Infinite multiplayer is a wise investment either. If I were in charge I would have contracted out Certain Affinity last year to start work on a Series X&S exclusive Halo 3 Remaster that would be a free update for TMCC players on Series X or S and came free as a pack-in code for Series X&S. That way you don’t kill your Halo Infinite sales by giving it away (that hurts sales big time), you have the thing a lot of people seem to want, and you have a Halo product guaranteed to come out with the Series launch.

I would be hesitant for a remaster for 3, based on the H2A multiplayer. 3 still looks and plays great.

Also, they don’t care about sales of the game. They care about people subscribing to gamepass, and microtransactions

It’s been implied that they’ve known for a while that the campaign won’t be ready on time. That’s why they were considering launching the Multiplayer separately this year

They do great work. Glad they are working on another halo.

With the amount of outsourcing 343i/Microsoft is doing with Infinite I’m not surprised at all that C.A is working on Infinite.

The faces in Halo 3 look like they’re melting and the armor and guns look like plastic toys.

Fair. I just don’t want a remaster to change the art style drastically.

3 was my first Halo (that I played a ton and got into), so maybe now I know why others have made a fuss on the other anniversary editions. But, H2A multiplayer for instance. They added the assault rifle…yeah, Max Hoberman realized that SMGs are awful, but why make changes? Why intro the silenced SMG? Why is the BR basically a DMR in terms of range?

And the Halo CE Remaster – the environments look completely different at times. I’ve enjoyed both games, but I wasn’t an OG for those, so I had the ability to easily overlook that stuff. The h2 campaign remaster was much more faithful, but they still use alot of borrowed assets.

If they are true to the art style, I’m fine with it. If they use leftover 5 assets, I’d prefer they just leave it alone.

I’ve seen you on here commenting that else where. Are you trolling or is this your actual opinion? Not trying to sound rude either. Just asking. If it is your opinion than I see why you think that way, but saying what you said is just gonna ruffle some feathers. Halo 3, imo, still looks good. Not perfect but good. Also keep in mind its from 2007.

Having C.A. on board gives me more hope for this game. Good news imo.

This is good to hear, but how many people are making this game now… When the game loads up are we going to be going threw 5 mins of who made it… "presented by Microsoft… Produced by 343I… An association with…lol :joy:

I really hope this game isn’t a mess but since it’s on all the consoles, I don’t think it’ll be that great of a Halo game. It’ll be decent, but I’m tired of decent Halo games. I miss the days where Halo would set the bar on things :disappointed:

343i, Sperasoft’s 2 studios, skybox labs, and now Certain Affinity. Coordinating all those teams must be a nightmare during the pandemic.

Yea no wonder they need more time

Awesome!

That’s what I’d do, kinda.
I’d launch the Multiplayer Beta with SeriesX. Make it exclusive for them for say 2-3 weeks, then release it for the X1. That way, SeriesX would still technically launch with the new Halo. They could keep the Beta up as long as they wanted, depending on when they plan on releasing the full game.

Nice to see Certain Affinity back to help though.
