According to Certain Affinity Twitter feed they are currently working on something that they cannot talk about Link.

I know it is not very likely that they are working on Halo 2 HD or a halo 2 multi-player map pack for halo 4 but it is possible.
Certain Affinity have done allot of work on halo map packs (Blastacular, Defiant, Anniversary) and halo games such as Halo: CEA and I think Halo 4, but anyway Thought I’d just put this out there even if it doesn’t turn out to be anything to do with a Halo 2 HD.
A man can dream! I hope this is a Halo 2 Anniversary, now THAT would make me a very happy little Halo fan.
I try not to look to hard into these things. Frankie has denied H2 remake for a while now. Same thing has been done before CEA was announced. It’s hard to tell whether or not a remake is in the works. I think that’s exactly how they want it. If it is in the works we’ll be surprised and if it isn’t it’s not like we absolutely thought it was. Either way I really hope H2A is in the works. Halo 2 is hands down the reason I still play video games.

Halo 2 and Battlefront II are the reason I ever started playing First Person Shooters.
To get a new version of both these fantastic games in 2014 would be a dream come true for me. We’ve already got Battlefront III confirmed, so now I just have to wait on Halo 2.
