I typed the numbers 250 and 230 into my in game text chat and they came up as censored. I’ve tested with other numbers both double and triple digit and the same thing happens. After testing single digit numbers they stopped being censored. I have no idea what triggered this. This has to be a weird, weird bug right? And I am amazed that it even exists… 343 keeps impressing in the worst ways it seems
I noticed when typing in 200ms ping it censors the whole thing out too.
343 probably doesn’t want you ranting about them. ![]()
It’s since the start… sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I just type 2 3 5 when I got a poor ping game and wanna let my teammates know about it.
That’s a good work around. Can’t believe this is an actual issue. I feel like I, as someone who has no idea how to code/program, would make a mistake that leads to this kind of bug BECAUSE I know nothing. This is not something I thought I would see from any developer ever. I am truly amazed
I really want to like 343 again, and I REALLY want to like Infinte, but they sure love taking every opportunity to make me hate them. So yea, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s intentional too. I don’t know what would be worse; highly incompetent at seemingly trivial tasks, or spiteful towards community. It’s tiring how consistent they are at being terrible, generally speaking.
I always thought they want to get rid of the stoners.
4 2 0 ya know. Drugs are bad. Video games and drugs are also a bad combination. I have a friend who is in a psych ward because of drugs and world of warcraft.
I tried to type “it blew up my warthog” and the entire sentence was censored lol.
Frickin Roblox levels of censorship
Can’t stop progress ![]()
They also had “oddball” censored like that’s the name of your game mode, how you gonna censor that LOL.
As a parent who will eventually have a young pre-teen/teenager playing these games online, I like that the filter is pretty broad. There are 13 year old players (and younger) playing this game, and I don’t think they should be exposed to much more than stuff to describe actual in-game needs (they’re at flag, 2 coming tunnel, etc).
You can keep your other chatter to your party chat just fine. Unpopular opinion I know, but parents of young kids often have unpopular opinions compared to 18+ year old gamers
browsing (four) chan at the ripe age of 13 made me a MAN!
My first PC was at 13 with UNRESTRICTED ACCESS TO ALL KNOWLEDGE EVER!
Did I get viruses? YES! Did I learn internet safety and computer hardware/components thru trial by fire? YES!
Did I become jaded and desensitized? YES!
CAN I BE OFFENDED?
ONLY BY 343!
Looks like 343i is still using that “BLAM” censorship progie! like - → (-yoink- )
I thought this game was for 18+ age user’s. I guess 343i forgot what words they have used and said when they were under the age of 18. Hummm. Interesting.
Peace!

T for Teen

AMEN BROTHER!! :
maybe a little bit hypocritical? Hummmmm ![]()
Well, I mean, I knew curse words before the age of 13. The best thing you can do is make sure they aren’t encouraged to say anything they wouldn’t say around you.
Hahaha bingo!
Try, if you will, and imagine my surprise.
There is a difference. Most well rounded children will not be picking up an assault rifle to use in real life in the same way (It is unfortunate that is has happened before, but video games seem to not be the problem). However, learning various: insults, swear words, slurs, and things that a child probably should not be hearing are something that is valid to have censorship for, especially in a game rated T (whether or not you agree with the rating is irrelevant). And of course, the parent (or guardian) is responsible for what they want their child to interact with. If vulgarity is not yet on that list, then allow the parent to not let their child view it. The censorship is heavy (why are numbers censored?) but some things are not out of reason.
Ok.

What “child”? We’re talking about teens here. T means Teens. This game even at the lame state that it currently is (without blood among other things), is not meant for children.
