I’m trying to find out why the description I typed in for a map variant is being censored. When I leave Forge, I get a message that says the description will be changed to “BLAM!” when I play on XBox Live. When I try to upload the variant to my File Share, I get a message that says, “The custom description for this file is not allowed on XBox Live. You must change the description to upload it to your File Share.”
The description says, “Who cares what this place used to be? Just get out there, put a helmet on, and hurt somebody!” The last part is a reference to George Carlin’s rules for football, basketball and baseball.
I can’t see anything profane or sexual in there; besides which, this game is supposed to be rated “M” for mature audiences. There’s nothing racial or political in there; it contains no “hate speech.” If there’s some kind of profanity or hate speech or sexual reference in there, it’s VERY well hidden. I can’t see how it could possibly be seen as offensive. Are people REALLY that sensitive these days?
