CEA isn't using the M90

NOTE: I am not arguing that the M90 should have been used, I actually prefer the look of the M45.
Most of you have noticed by now that Halo: CEA is using the Halo: Reach Beta’s version of the M45 shotgun instead of an updated M90 shotgun, which has been used in Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: O.D.S.T., and Halo Wars.

What you may not have noticed is that 343i/Saber is not hiding this fact. If you watch the Halo CEA Weapon sounds Part 2 video, the name of each weapon is listed this time. If one were to actually read those names they would notice that the M90 is not the name used for the shotgun in the video, it is the M45.

So technically a weapon has been added to this game that wasn’t in Halo CE.

It’s graphics, does it really matter?

yea, it looks more like the Reach shotgun, which I did like better.

From a canonical standpoint, yes.

Good eye you’ve got there. There is an explanation, but you’ll have to wait until Halo: Anniversary ships in November

I will be honest.

I did not like the sound of that…

Oh 343, you are sooooo sneaky. We’ll find the information we need. One way or another… Voice fades off creepily

It’s probably the same/similar to how they used to have the MA37 AR and M6G Magnum, it’s either still a placeholder or they figure it won’t be a big enough deal.

Some serious splaining for the fact of having 12 in CE and 6 in reach.

Why’d Marines have an Army issue weapon?

> Why’d Marines have an Army issue weapon?

Cause 343 is lazy.

It’s got blue sights, it’s the M90 with HD visuals to me.

Remember how Halo2’s was less powerful, had a shorter barrel, had less range and had green sights? Now that was an outrage. Not the M90 to me.

Halo3’s M90A is more powerful than H2’s, has slightly more range and is blue on the sights again. But the range and reserve ammo sucked. Still not the M90 to me.

It’s probably some sort of unlockable or something…!!! Unlockable weapons for the campaign!!!

It’s not called being lazy when there is no reason why two branches of the Military can’t use the same weapon. 343i obviously took the time to model in the correct MA5B so there must be a reason for the look of the Shotgun. In fact, Veronica above just said so.

Soliders with M4

Marine with M4

If those were plastic magazines, I’d swear those were Canadian C8 carbines

> If those were plastic magazines, I’d swear those were Canadian C8 carbines

The C8 Carbine is just a variation of the American M16 and they’re both manufactured by Colt.

1.It is the wrong shotgun, they used the M90 in Halo CE, now 343 is just going “lol it’s the M45 cuz we dun wanna tell saber to model it”
2.They didn’t model the correct MA5B, they ripped Halo 3’s MA5C, thats why it looks so weird in first person, it’s too long and thin.
3.She said that to cover up the fact that they are lazy. There is no reason to have the M45 in the game and not the M90.
