Because when I went into a Gamestop to buy a different game, the guy behind the counter told me that it was a limited release game, so I had better preorder it in case they run out of copies. I’m about 99.99% sure he was lying to get me to preorder something, but, I just wanted to ask in the event that I missed something.

There is only the standard edition for Halo: CEA. If you pre-ordered it, you get a cheif armor for your avatar and a grunt funeral skull effect.
