Well I noticed this during my first viewing of the ViDoc.
Possible CE style Pistol on Chief’s right leg.
For now it may be a place holder, or it may not even be the type of Pistol we think it is, but to me, it looks like a CE/H3 style pistol.

Frankie has been so, trolling when answering questions like this, for example, Armour DLC for Reach, he stuttered on that one, turned out to never happen, its like he is doing it on purpose.

That model looks identical to the Halo Reach model.
In the “exclusive” waypoint screenshot of MC you can sort of see the Halo CE pistol as well. 
It’s been confirmed that there will be no dual wielding, and that there will be at least one single-shot precision weapon. Also, given the looks of this pistol, I can say with certainty that the classic-pistol is making a glorious, non-bloom return!
